Not sorry to correct you...he very well confronted Salman but Salman also had been his friend and SRK confronting him resulted in a major crack in that friendship because Salman could not take that.

As for Aish, she definitely made Salman know that there was love for SRK from her side in a way that Salman even believed in an affair and accused SRK of that. It became an unsupportable, tense situation...and that at a time when this film already suffered financial difficulties... SRK still was hesitant to dismiss Aish, but others weren't (among them his co-producers).

But if you want to believe what you wrote, you won't believe what I just wrote...

Chalte Chalte or not, Aishwarya got a ton of movies to display her so-called acting talent - Devdas, Dhoom 2, Guru, Jodhaa Akbar, HDDCS, Taal, etc. She had a decent career but is lucky to have lasted as long as she did. Considering her limited talent, she did make a dent in the industry but is regarded mainly as a flop actress.

So many directors gave her chances - Ritupharno Ghosh, Gurinder Chadha, etc. So SRK didn't really need her.
