This film is literally based around a fictional main character so what is this stupid take of his actually for? How are people even reading overt propaganda in this film? The only propaganda done was done in favour of the ruling party, which was something I did not agree with either, and yet it was subtle and not so predominant that it would take away the enjoyment of the film from me. If any Indian is calling out the anti-Pak tone of the film, they rightfully deserve to be called out as Anupama was and as Dhruv is.
Personally, I despise both the extreme left and extreme right as both do not serve national interests so when I see the same people who hate the current govt support another extremist like Rathee, I will question their affiliation and their agenda too. This is the same Dhruv Rathee who famously had once called out a right winger on twitter ages ago and mocked him saying make your films na. Now that we have a right wing affiliated director who actually makes decent films unlike an Agnihotri, the same Dhruv is going stark raving mad. As long as the films are not stoking hate or communal violence, which Dhurandhar no where does, I do not see any issues with Dhar being allowed to make the movie he wants to the same way other directors from left wing ideologies are free to make as well.
Criticise him for the technicalities or for pushing the current govt and leader as messianic but criticising him for stating facts regarding Pakistan's involvement in terrorist attacks in India is unacceptable and this is where Dhruv rathee crossed the line in his current video and so had to close down comments since even his otherwise neutral supporters are calling him out.
Regarding this film, why would the film maker make a movie you want him to make on issues you want him to highlight? He clearly has a right wing ideology so he will make movies based on his ideology same as we have makers with a left wing ideology who do make anti-establishment movies.You cannot dictate terms on a director and question him for not covering issues in his film that you want him to. What is this idiocy of asking him to cover other attacks and riots etc? How is that even related to this film in any way??? Matlab kuch bhi dikhaaye woh to satisfy you when it has no link to the story he wants to tell???
Also you need to stop vacillating with your own posts cause the tweets you post and what you then write just shows absolute contradiction not just here but elsewhere too, coming off as trying to play both sides of every argument or discussion.
P.S. You do not need to educate me about terrorist attacks carried out by Pakistan in India, I have lived through majority of them. Nor do you need to teach me the history of my country, I have studied it at length along with international relations. Thanks!!!!
