The worst I've seen was 2 something degrees in 2010/2011. And back then we were not so aware of the early morning chill pollution. I used to go for a walk for an hour or two back then at 7 in the morning, my father wouldn't let me out before that because the sun would hardly rise then and the visibility goes really down in the winters, it's prone to accident in such a scene.
I remember 2023 new year, after Christmas vacation when we went back to work it suddenly became very cold and our school timings weren't changed for the winters, I had just crossed half a km away from my home and the main road began and trust lord, we couldn't see even the next person 10 steps away, and I had to ride my Activa for the next 11 kilometres. I've never ridden my Activa at the speed of 10 km/hr except that day. The half an hour normal ride took more than 45 minutes and when I reached, I realised my helmet's glass was drenched with water, my coat was dripping with all the dew that came in contact when I drove. That was one of the most dangerous drives I've done in my life, and we literally pressed on for the timings to be shifted from 6:30 am to 8:30.
Transportation is very difficult here in the winters and don't get me started on the respiratory sickness that comes along. My cough and cold didn't subside for 3 months straight. We were so fed up with the cold.
I'm so happy, tucked in my warm house this year since I am not working.
MY GOD!...so hard even to read and absorb this....
