When it comes to Ranvijay again it’s his belief that his daughter is not such a fool to get trapped though he obviously has no clue what his daughter is truly like or capable of.

Also, Ranvijay has played it smarter than say Malti. He didn’t start off by giving Mihir a bad impression of himself but rather played the I am a humble but poor person card well. Mihir believes he can trust him because Ranvijay hasn’t lied about his monetary circumstances from Mihir at all. He also played coy. Also, given that his daughter is now a divorcee who carries the tag as well as someone whose mother provided a testimony against her in court, denting her character, Mihir sees an opportunity to get his daughter settled and is running away with it.

In his head his daughter has slim chances and in that if she’s found someone willing to ignore her past and think past the tags and the case attached to her, who comes across as genuine he has no reason to doubt him. Then Ranvijay further cements his place and gets into Mihir’s good books by getting Suhas, the guy who attacked Mihir’s office and nearly killed him, who tried to kill his son by setting him on fire, arrested.

The girl Tulsi brought turned on her and Mihir in his anger didn’t care to bother about Tulsi not being the sort of person who would ask anyone to lie let alone pay someone to do it.

So right now Tulsi appears to him as someone who is seeing things no one else can, who has no evidence, no witness beyond - believe me, Mihir. Perhaps when it came down to it - if this were a matter that was between them and affected them solely he would have been more considerate and given it a thought that he has been unfair to Tulsi and should at least consider what her POV is and then whatever confusion or misunderstanding has led to this conflict can be sorted by a conversation where they meet midway after clearing things.

But here he sees his daughter on the line - one who married a guy he picked for her and who as per her turned out to be an abusive husband and his family nearly killed her. In his head, Pari also suffered because he picked the wrong guy for her even if he doesn’t say it explicitly.

So right now it’s not about not knowing what kind of a woman Tulsi is but more of a what if she’s wrong too like I was and my daughter loses someone who was willing to accept everything that came with her, someone she loves all because his wife says something that no one else knows about, there are no proofs for and no witnesses against.

It’s not as simple as Mihir agreeing to Tulsi’s assessment of say a paint or a textile that is hardly worth the effort to invest his energy in or even fight about but their daughter.

Now don’t take it as personal attack or anything but aise if woman ends up justifying each and every action of a man , for me cheating is the last straw and Mihir has done that too but still in that case duniya ke Kaise bhi aadmi ke saath ladki shadi nibba sakti hai, no matter if he keeps humiliating her publicly like Mihir coz he must be having his reasons , or him not keeping boundaries with the other woman coz he must be so innocent to not understand that this is wrong and even if he cheats coz he must be having a solid reason for it as well

Again, two very different things.

Mihir’s volatile behaviour is horrible but it’s not entirely beyond understanding is what I am saying. It doesn’t make it right, but it’s not beyond understanding. There’s a difference between understanding someone’s actions and what led to them and saying something they do is right.

That’s what is the bone of contention here.

I’m not trying to say Mihir should be forgiven for his behaviour. But I used to write stories for shows I followed in the past. Have written over 60 of them for the last show I followed - YHM. So my mindset is not to make characters appear forgivable but rather to get in their head to understand what is driving them. It’s not an attempt at justification or redemption or anything. But it is the way I process and have done so when analysing characters as well as written them.

Knowing what drives someone doesn’t necessarily lead to forgiveness for them. I mean there are criminals out there who do all sorts of crimes. There are people whose sole job is to think like them ‘to catch them’ not to join them or forgive them or make their jobs easier or pose as a competitor to them.

That’s my approach for ALL characters not just Mihir but this track is Mihir focused so hardly anything I can do about it.

Cheating is NOT forgivable nor should it be tolerated. IMO, Tulsi should have ended the marriage long back when she discovered Mandira was alive and with Mihir, let alone get to the point where she has to find out they have a son.

But they had her keep mum when she learns about Mandira to protect a pregnant Shobha and her fear of the shock killing Baa. Later she accepted Karan too and forgave Mihir.

That should NEVER have happened. But they made Mandira as the perpetrator there and again Mihir got a get out of jail card.

That history should NOT be repeated here. Because here he cannot play the victim card to justify his treatment of his wife, him preferring to forego all the warnings Hemant gave him, his refusal to have a civil discussion with Tulsi about anything even if in the end he says he disagrees with her. The last straw being his idiocy that cannot grasp the concept of boundaries even in friendship which not only leads him to discuss personal issues he’s having with his wife with a random outsider but also the way he has no regard for physical boundaries as well. There’s no forgiveness for that and nothing that can provide an explanation for his behaviour when it comes to Noyna.

So this time around Tulsi should divorce him and he can keep his Pari and Noyna, join Kiran in a competition to who dies of liver cancer first for all I care.

Tulsi gets to keep her dignity, self-respect and her family - the one she has built, cared for, nurtured and loved all her life.

most indian weddings are toxic especially in a patriarchal set up like villages, tier 2 city even lower class or very rich ppl

very few educated men are understanding of wife like karan virani was to nandini despite her being raped and widow etc or

support sisters who divorce and come back like angad did to pari

so mihir kind of man is not rare hes common in indian(and asian) spouse actually

these men treat wife as house maids to look after house and kids nothing more while they enjoy in outside world without family responsibility much

if you think mihir talks rudely and is toxic his gen born in 1970s and married in 1990s were similar only

may be men born in 1990s onwards are much more liberal and think wife is equal that too very educated men not others(not 80% others)

also before 2010 social media smart ph etc was less so men could hide their affairs, one night stand easily unlike nowadays

take bollywood we say ranbir kapoor is red flag but his grandpa raj kapoor was much more worst but no social media than so he was given cult status in hindi cinema

most bollywood heroes in 1950s, 60s, 70s were creepy men more worst than any ranbir kapoor but since media was less no smartph no hidden camera cctv its tough to catch their misbehaviours

also women are better off financially now and educated so speak out against sajid khan, akshay kumar etc would anyone dare speak against raj kapoor, sanjay khan, dev anand no one would in fear of losing jobs for life

About mihir would say even if you are drunk or on drugs or emotional nothing justify him sleeping with noyona

same what he did with mandira ons

no normal man would lose his senses so much after drinks to sleep with his classmate or friend etc

if he does that means hes morally ok with such things

mihir was not so drunk as to not know what he was doing

because before that noyona confessd her love etc big monologue which he understood

Drinking can't be an excuse for cheating. A lot of people in this world drink, I am sure all of them are not cheating their spouses after drinking.

Mihir is coming across as an immoral person when it comes to ladies other than his wife…after his ONS, he dint question Noina once, he dint ask her if he was completely drunk , not in his senses what right she had to get involved in with him. Technically it’s rape if he wasn’t in his senses but he was guilty bcz he wronged Tulsi and not angry that he was wronged too..he was very normal around Noina..any person guilty wouldn’t face her for a second let alone discussing with her his future plans

Anyway I feel this ll be used as a separation means but ultimately it ll be revealed in future that Mihir dint remember anything and Noina manipulated him to get separated from his wife so that she can be thrown out in future.

In Ekta’s shows, these ONS are shown for pregnancy tracks but I don’t think anything of that sort ll be shown here owing to their age but let’s see. Ekta is nuts and anything can happen.
