Mouni Roy shares first Cannes photos after announcing separation from Suraj Nambiar

Actor Mouni Roy recently shared fresh pictures from the Cannes Film Festival 2026, where she attended the screening of her international project Bombay Stories. The actress appeared in an all black look during her outing at the French Riviera, days after confirming her separation from husband Suraj Nambiar.

Mouni posted a series of pictures on social media, offering a glimpse of her appearance from Cannes. She wore a fitted black mini dress paired with a white halter neckline and layered the outfit with a long dark coat. She completed the look with sheer stockings and black boots. Keeping her styling minimal, the actress tied her hair in a sleek bun and opted for subtle makeup while posing against the seaside backdrop.

Her appearance at Cannes comes shortly after reports around her personal life gained attention online. Speculation around her marriage began after fans noticed that Mouni and Suraj had unfollowed each other on social media. On May 14, the former couple officially confirmed that they had decided to part ways after four years of marriage.

In a joint statement, they said, “We would like to state that we have decided to part ways and are taking the necessary time to address matters privately and amicably. Attempts have been made to sensationalise our private lives by circulating fictitious narratives and blatant falsehoods, which do not reflect the reality of our relationship.”

The statement also requested privacy and denied rumours related to alimony or third party involvement in their separation.

Despite the personal developments, Mouni continues to remain occupied with multiple projects. The actress will next be seen in Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai alongside Varun Dhawan, Pooja Hegde and Mrunal Thakur. She is also part of Madhur Bhandarkar’s The Wives and the thriller Ab Hoga Hisaab with Shaheer Sheikh. Apart from these projects, Mouni is also associated with Bombay Stories.

While the actress avoided discussing her personal life at the event, her Cannes appearance became a talking point, with entertainment pages sharing photographs and videos from the festival on platforms.
