Chapter 3
A Determined Chapter
Though Maan does not want to see Geet but at the same time
he is fighting himself as there is an invisible pull towards her
especially the fact to protect her like he always did
Chapter 2
Maan's confusion and frustration was reasonable
well he is fighting a war within
at least Geet's name sounded familiar
of cos her tears shook and scared him
feeling for Geet
this is not what she anticipated
her thoughts were understandable
admire her resolve
as expected dadimaa observed Maan
she indeed knows him very well
her comments were justified
not surprised with Maan's response
dadimaa had a valid point
but Maan was adamant
Maan was certainly restlessness remembering Geet and what she said
so Geet bought food for Maan
upset with Maan's behavior
great that Geet was calm
she is clearly determined
hate that Maan shouted at her
however she stood firm
one thing for sure is that he cannot see her in pain
liked that dadimaa motivated Geet
good that Geet assured her
Chapter 3
well Maan is back at work
Geet's nervousness and thoughts was reasonable
but now everything has changed
and so has Maan....
of cos Maan cannot stop thinking about Geet
Maan was indeed annoyed when his assistant addressed Geet as Mrs. Khurana
Maan's dilemma was understandable
as expected Maan was rude to Geet
agree with Geet that its their life and not his
Maan was clearly angry
loved Maan's protectiveness and concern for Geet
so he even threatened the employee
Geet was naturally overwhelmed and hopeful
however Maan shattered her hopes
her question was anticipated
alas there was silence
hate that he hurt again
glad that Geet realised that Maan's heart still recognises her
not surprised that Maan was affected by Geet.....
his question was justified.......
update soon
Hey Guys!!! Here is the next chapter.
Chapter 4 – The House of Memories
The grand gates of Khurana Mansion creaked open, and Geet’s breath hitched.
It felt like stepping into another lifetime.
The sprawling lawns, the elegant pillars, the majestic façade — everything was the same, yet nothing was.
This house had once been her world. The place where she had found love, warmth, and family. The place where she had dreamt of a future with him.
Now, as she walked up the marble steps clutching her dupatta, it felt like she was entering as an outsider in her own home.
Daadima was waiting at the doorway. Her eyes softened at the sight of Geet. She extended her arms and hugged her tightly. “Geet beta… tum wapas aa gayi. Bas ab sab theek ho jaayega.”
Geet clung to her for a second, hiding the tears in her eyes. “Aapke aashirwad se hi sab theek hoga, Daadima.”
But before the warmth could settle, a cold, commanding voice sliced through the air.
“Kya ho raha hai yeh?”
Maan stood at the top of the staircase, his presence filling the entire hall. Dressed in a crisp white shirt, his expression was unreadable but his eyes — his eyes were blazing.
Geet’s gaze lifted to him. Her heart ached at the sight. This was the same man who once welcomed her into this home as his wife… and now he looked at her like an intruder.
Daadima straightened, her voice calm but firm. “Maan, maine Geet ko bulaya hai. Yeh uska bhi ghar hai.”
Maan’s jaw tightened. “Yeh mera ghar hai, Daadima. Aur main faisla karunga yahan kaun rahega, kaun nahi. Is ladki ka yahan koi haq nahi hai.”
The words were knives to Geet’s heart, but she refused to flinch. She stepped forward, her voice steady though her hands trembled. “Yeh ghar mera bhi hai, Maan. Kyunki main aapki patni hoon. Chahe aapko yaad ho ya na ho, yeh sach badal nahi sakta.”
The silence that followed was heavy, suffocating. Nakul, the old servant, who had watched their love bloom once, stood frozen with moist eyes. The staff exchanged worried glances.
Maan descended the stairs slowly, each step deliberate, his eyes locked on hers. When he finally stood before her, his voice was low, almost dangerous.
“Patni? Don’t try to manipulate me with your stories, Geet. Main apni zindagi mein jhooth ke liye jagah nahi deta. Agar tum yahan raho, toh samajh lo, tum sirf Daadima ke liye ho. Mere liye tum sirf ek guest ho… aur usse zyada kuch nahi.”
Her throat burned, but she lifted her chin proudly. “Guest samajh lijiye… lekin ek din aapka dil aapko yaad dilayega main kaun hoon.”
Daadima intervened gently, sensing the storm building. “Bas, Maan. Geet kahin nahi jaayegi. Yeh iss ghar ka hissa hai aur hamesha rahegi. Aur main tumhe usse nikalne nahi doongi.”
Maan’s eyes flickered with frustration. He turned abruptly and walked away, his footsteps echoing angrily on the marble floor.
---
That night, Geet sat quietly in the room that once belonged to both of them. Every corner whispered their story — the wardrobe they had shared, the mirror where he once watched her braid her hair, the window where they had stood together during the rain.
Her fingers traced the edges of the bedpost. Yahan humne kitni baatein ki thi, kitne khwab dekhe the… aur aaj woh sab Maan bhool gaye.
Her tears spilled silently. But then she whispered fiercely to herself, “Main haar nahi manungi. Yeh kamra, yeh ghar… phir se hamare pyar ki gawahi dega.”
---
Meanwhile, in his study, Maan poured himself a glass of water, restless. He paced the floor, trying to drown the chaos in his mind.
Why does her presence shake me?
He remembered her standing at the doorway, claiming her place, her eyes unwavering. His chest tightened again, the same inexplicable pull gnawing at him. He rubbed his temple in frustration.
Suddenly, his gaze fell on a photo frame lying on the shelf — covered in dust, half-hidden behind files. Almost unwillingly, he picked it up.
It was a picture of him and Geet. Her smile radiant, his hand protectively around her waist. The warmth in their eyes undeniable.
His fingers trembled as he touched the frame. For a moment, a flash tore through his mind — her laughter echoing in this very study, his arms pulling her close, the feel of her breath on his skin.
He staggered back, clutching the desk. His heart raced.
“No…” he whispered to himself. “Yeh sirf mere dimaag ka dhoka hai. Main… main is ladki ko nahi jaanta.”
But deep inside, his heart knew otherwise.
---
Later that night, as the mansion lay silent, Geet stood at the balcony, looking at the moon. Her voice was soft but resolute.
“Babaji… mujhe har din aur himmat dena. Main apne Maan ko wapas paungi. Yeh ghar phir se pyaar se bharega.”
Unbeknownst to her, Maan stood at his own balcony just across. His eyes were drawn to her, her dupatta fluttering in the night breeze. He clenched his fists, fighting the emotions he couldn’t name.
Why can’t I look away from her?
The distance between them was only a few feet… yet it felt like an ocean.
That’s it for now!
