Arjun and Riya saga: Veil - Page 3

I'm shook.

It's everything I imagined their story to be like. Except for me Riya didn't come from a haunted past. It's because I never thought she needed to know darkness to be Arjun's soulmate.

But this portrayal. It made me cry so many times. A true "two broken souls finding each other". It was mesmerizing and hauntingly beautiful at the same time.

I was so curious about Riya's own pain but the start till end of first update was so gripping. I wish there could be two heart reactions I could give this update. ❤️ ❤️

Loved it.

Let me read the other part. And I really hope you write more often. The writing style is so beautiful. I think I lost myself within it.

I wanted Riya being a bit broken and haunted not because of connecting with Arjun. I think empathy is enough...it's a way to connect in past and my own khujli to connect her with another story 😂😂

Damn it.... I was going to appreciate that confession Arjun gave her. It was so him.

Yet the next update starts with so much pain and loss. You killed Chotu and Shree lost a leg. Why?

They didn't deserve that. The pain and loss was so much that it left me gasping and I'm still in shock. I haven't cried so much over a story. Shree was right. What's the point of the job. They lost everything and yet the next time they fail to save someone. The department would pin them as corrupt and negligent. All past golden service forgotten.

It breaks my heart to think that. I wish Chotu hadn't died and they could all have a happily ever after.

My thoughts? You're a gifted writer. The ups and downs and the way every feeling is portrayed? I can genuinely feel the emotions and that deserves an award for a writer.

I loved how you brought so many Povs and still didn't lose the essence of the characters and story.

But I would not forgive you for killing off Chotu. That big teddy deserved to be happily married to his 11:30 girl.

And yes do write more. You're such a witty person. I expected your stories to be sarcastic and witty. This angst has given me more tears than I'd like. I cried so much.

Yeah pov is something i was like should I write third person where everyone has voice or just Riya seeing the world.

Idk if you noticed but Riya never talk to herself as Riya. As in it's always "she spoke to shree and Rathore sir said.." it's never "Riya watched shreee and Rathore sir said." . I wanted it as Riya only when she accepts herself as Riya. When she's known as Riya after everything happened

Hehe sarcastic is only the imperial affliction wala Riya. She's just badass, idgaf there... Something I can dream of 😂😂😂 she's the epitome of no fcks given. How she navigate and become part of team was intresting to write

I get that. Every story has its needs. This Riya needed to become Riya and accept that her identity is botched. I noticed that. But didn't understand the significance. That was so good of a depiction.

Of course all good words were needed to describe this beautiful of a story. It really hit my heart. I read alot. Hence my speed. I'm on Wattpad too. Mind sharing your profile my shy friend? I'd love to read.

Yes so many lost so much. I didn't know why this story made me cry. Like ugly sobs and snotty mess and all. It wasn't until I took a break and watched a series or so when I realized that the pain triggered my own. Losing so much and to realize your existence is vain. Chotu lost his life. Shree and Riya lost their best friend, who was basically the light in their life. Shree lost himself. Rathod lost his team and his wife is an unrecognizable woman. Ayesha lost herself. Arjun. Well I wouldn't know yet. I stopped reading for a while. I'll go back to it once I've gathered myself enough.

And you know I read so many stories and to see this being one of those that made me stop and take a break because I couldn't handle the pain. It shows how good of a writer you are.

I like my FL witty, smart, sarcastic and one who knows how to show men their place. Doesn't need to be femme fatale but darn If she doesn't know how to cut people with words more than katanas.

Damn now I feel bad about taking this route 🥶in my writer head it made sense back then. The contrast of a big towering powerful person like chotu lifeless. It's morbid but yeah

I hadn't thought of writing etf story after the entire Sikandar/ sakshi trying to kill them. I knew i wanted all of them to lose something in that, and as I wrote a death came up. And I felt post a death, how the team can still be a team and be a found family, ties in next generation, can only happen if this person goes and not anyone else

All of them to lose something because it's only fair in a sense that they all can grieve their losses individually and together as a team. If only shree lost something, or sameer, it didn't feel fair to me. Also it ties them all together, hence the reason they return. Shree, Sam arjun, even Aisha.

Shree can't go because he was the first man who taught Riya how to live her life. His influence is only second to Arjun imo. If he was gone I think Riya would be halfway gone from life.

Same reason Aisha liza couldn't go. Also killing off women is sexist unnecessary.

I tried to think Sameer to go but that was a different damage and not fair to Arjun imo. Also they both deserved to come out of that , and live a fulfilling life once Sikandar drama was done.

I don't think Arjun lost anything. Dude was damaged since beginning and everyone else got damaged to catch upto him 🤣😕 kidding kidding. Sorry for the tears..I hope you feel well. Watch something comedic like modern family maybe?

It's odd but I read this story too after your comments and it's so interesting to see these characters have 180 degree change, how decades goes and their lives goes on, their roots are still there and the end of it. But also the beginning. Like a clock. There is pain, there is death, there are tears. But there is hope. That's quite nice to feel that after everything you can have that life.

Imperial affliction is like... I wrote it as a gender bender fic..Riya as Arjun and Arjun as Riya. But as I wrote it wasn't exactly like the show. I would like to think Riya had more heart in that fic. She tried to stay away but she couldn't. And arjun isn't a saint too. He feels irritated, he feels undermined, but he's also drawn to her flame like a moth. And there is, imo, interesting relationship between Riya and Aisha and riya and sameer.

I get that. This was deffo what this story needed. You're right. Only Chotu could've fulfilled that role. I'm not blaming you for that. There's a reason why I loved this. It was because it made you feel what the character felt. And that 180°? It was thrilling and painful at the same time.

It's just it was so close to home and well... Let's just say it triggered a part of me that didn't know it was coming.

Never feel bad for a piece you wrote so beautifully. I'd love to read more.
