No. (except first part), sequel was a intense drama and it seems Aashiqui 3 will be more intense like Saiyaara ( I saw promo). That's why Anurag Basu postponed it next year instead of Diwali release. He is scaring because it will be compared to Saiyaara.

Salman is doing normal masala movies since 2010. They are not intense movies like Kabir Singh or Animal. Only he did similar kind role which you mentioned is in Tere Naam (2003).
