In the late 2000s, Star plus introduced a new historical show Dharti ka veer putra Prithviraj Chauhan. A young 13-14 year old boy was cast as young Prithviraj and was initially hired for just few episodes but when viewers started liking his acting, his role was extended and soon he became widely popular. He was none other than Rajat Tokas who impressed everyone with his acting and fighting sequences in the show.
He tasted success at a very young age and after his role ended in that show, he went on to do another show called Dharam Veer alongside Vikrant Massey.
He probably took a break from acting for few years and then returned to television with another iconic show Jodha Akbar where he played the role of Akbar and gained appreciation again for his marvelous acting.
After this show his career went downhill. He played a cameo in Naagin and after that he disappeared from itv. He is neither active on social media nor there's any news of his comeback.
What went wrong with his career? He has mostly done historical shows in his career. Was his image as a historical shows hero affected his career? I just hope he comes back again either in a tv show or web. He is a very good actor.
Whenever I see his Dharam Veer costar Vikrant gaining so much success in bollywood and now he is a National awards winning actor, I always wonder where is Rajat and what is he doing.
