Everyone knows you pay to get the Hollywood walk of fame star. There is a process of nomination, selection, and a cutoff time for a particular year, but It’s a flat upfront fee and then you pay periodically ( yearly… I think) to maintain your star. There is no institution that will do upkeep of your star on the ground for free… in LA.

all celebs who got the walk of fame were nominated, selected and paid, to get the star. That’s how Gal Gadot got it despite her sub par acting skills.

The official announcement was "first Bollywood star".

It could have been first indian citizen.Both are correct.
