That's another point to be taken into consideration. Doesn't negate my theory though. Every show needs a conflict. And one of the few proven conflicts in a daily soap is in-laws. Unfortunately Anupa's in laws forever remained the Shahs.

Even worst, Aadhya / CA / Rahi was shown to be a spoilt brat. Makers had shown Aadhya getting trapped in Megha's clutches and Anupama getting stabbed for Aadhya to be saved. Aadhya was adopted by Anuj (After getting married to Anupama) to which Anupama gave her consent when she had the option of saying NO to adoption. But Anupama kept exposing Aadhya to her toxic ex family who were always on the lookout for opportunities to abuse her. Anupama did not have time for either Aadhya or Anuj, but she had time to poke her nose in the affairs of her filthy clan. Obviously, the shameless Shah's did not like her visits to their home but her devotion to Shah's did not die. She can accept Vanraj's taunts, humiliation, abuses and insults but even though Anuj was gracious in complaining about her misplaced priorities her response is to walk out of the wedding. Shameless toxic woman Anupama.

Had Anuj married Sruthi after promising marriage to her, Aadhya / Rahi could have had a mother who had enough time for her and Anuj. But Anuj turned out to be a disgusting cheater.

No, she will get weaker.

Imagine a International Sooperistar competition winner struggling to put food on her own table. She could have used the publicity and prize money to work at any big restaurant or opened one herself, instead she is working as a maid to make ends meet. Unbelievably, her financial condition was much, much better when she was Mrs. Anupamaa Vanraj Shah, inspite of all her material achievements after divorce.

As for her emotional condition, she is 'broken but beautiful', I suppose as per the show's portrayal. As a viewer, it seems like backward 'progress' to see her dancing in front of drunkards when she didn't even do that while living on the streets in US.

Definitely weaker now than before and I believe, Anupamaa has still not reached rock bottom. 100-200 more nayi udaans will complete that job.
