Why do they show children manipulating parents

Don't understand why they show children manipulating /blackmailing parents. These are life altering decisions. You cannot take them on a child's whim. Maira is shown as 6 years old. Doctors could have easily given her medicine through IV or some other way.

In Shahi's other popular show, ML gave divorce to his wife bcoz his adopted daughter felt she wasn't cared enough. I could still justify that as Anu was giving more importance to her ex in laws.

But the case is different here. All Maira wants is her mother. Armaan could have told her about Abhira. But no, he chose to stay mum as it would have led to Maira asking the reason behind Abhira not being with them.

These production houses know perfectly well to ruin a good story just to stretch it out unnecessarily. Their leads remain together for max 1 year and then the hero spends most of his life with other lady or vice versa. Then why to show their love story and waste our time.
