Amrita Rao: Bollywood's Girl-Next-Door Who Deserved More

She had many setbacks in between Main Hoon Na (2004) and Vivaah (2006)..The likes of Deewar ,Vaah Life Ho Toh Aisi ,Shikhar , Pyare Mohan bombed badly .And Vivaah though a big hit proved detrimental to her career in the long run ..It established her as a Behenji ..

I love her. She was pretty. Had a nice voice as well.

It seems more like Amrita herself chose to not pursue her career in Bollywood further. She couldn't adjust herself in the crowd of nepotism and favoritism. In the set of 'Pyare Mohan' movie, Esha Deol slapped Amrita and also beat the crap out of her, later on Esha was even proud about it in public. You can watch this episode in Aap Ki Aadalat where Esha was boastfully telling about this incident with an evil smirk face, even Hema Malini was a guest along with her in that show and shamelessly supported her daughter. And such events show the dark side of the industry. Bollywood is simply not a cup of tea for everyone.

A few years ago Amrita gave it another shot and played a role in Thackeray movie, but her role wasn't impactful much, neither was the film.

But Amrita still looks younger till date, also she seems to be happier and healthier in her personal life as well. She hosts a show named 'Couple of Things' co-hosted by her husband RJ Anmol, Amrita might not have a industry-level success, but yet she's much more successful as a human being and seems pretty grounded so far, that's her biggest achievement.

Amrita also has YT channel? I have seen some of videos from her sister's insta channel. She had some good guests, but wasn't very knowledgeable in the area of their expertise...so questions were kind of superficial and bland.

Amrita Rao and Divya Bharti have got some hardcore fans. It's rare to see such a fan following posthumously.

She does have a huge film releasing this year so let’s see if it helps her.
