Not that I think Amitabh is not capable of this. He may have very well said that. But Prateek is saying it as if he was right there when it happened.

People have this habit of turning someone into a saint after they pass away. Smita did have an affair with Raj Babbar knowing he not only had a wife but also 2 children. And both Smita-Raj are equally responsible for that affair. So itni bhi mahaan nahi thi Smita.

Smita was a homewrecker and Raj a cheater. I still don't get how Nadira took Raj back after all this. He even had an affair with Rekha.

Smita was such a feminist, a good actress and a good human being. And equally contradictory was her decision to get involved and married to Raj Babbar. Pratik suffered, he still comes across like he is deeply disturbed, confused and feels neglected.
