I'm also not a movie person at all, I'm more of a drama person
I wasted so much of my childhood watching endless ITV shows and never got around to watching movies
Only in the last 5-6 yrs have I started watching movies 😅 mostly thrillers, romcoms or random feel-good movies. It's why my watchlist is called WoI aka Watchlist of Infinity
ppl have given me so many recs but I don't think I'll ever get around to watching most of them 😭😭🙈
I like movies now, though. They need lesser time commitment than dramas, which is convenient 😅 I also love romcoms, and despite my WoI I'm always open to romcom suggestions

Come to momma!
I’m an out and out romcom girlie! Though I haven’t watched the recent ones. The 90s were THE era for good romcoms imo. Though if you’re looking for recent ones, I enjoyed The Hit Man (not really a rom com but fun!)

Give me recs pls 🥺 I'm tired of unsatisfactory romcoms and hallmark movies
Give me something that makes me feel the feels
One of my favourite romcoms is 10 Things I Hate About You
That's from the 90s right?
Oh Gawd I love 10 things I hate about you! It's one of my favorite romcoms ever!

Some of my favorites
Four Weddings and a funeral
27 dresses (stellar
)
While you were sleeping
Chasing Liberty
Two weeks notice (hilarious!)
When Harry met Sally (though I will forever rue the choice of Billy Crystal opposite Meg Ryan
)
Sleepless in Seattle
You've got mail (Anything with Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan and I'm sold!)
French Kiss (this is sooo good!)
Addicted to Love (Meg Ryan is the Queen of rom-coms, fight me on this!)
Bridget Jones' Diary (I will recommend this one always!)
The Princess Bride (Not really a rom-com as its an adventure-fantasy-romance but Oh god, so eminently watchable and quotable!)
Stardust (Same as above)
Clueless (modern version of Emma, again so quotable!)
The Holiday (Jude Law in this is so swoony)
Serendipity (Gosh I just love the premise of this!)
How to lose a guy in 10 days (it's been a while since I rewatched but this was kinda fun)
Notting Hill (I'm not a huge Julia Roberts fan but Hugh Grant & his friends are so cute in this)
She's the man (Twelfth Night modern remake - Idk I just really like Amanda Bynes!)
13 going on 30
Silver Linings Playbook
To all the boys I've loved before (a more recent one!)
Red, white and Royal blue
50 first dates (Again not a fan of Adam Sandler but this one is good)
Never been kissed
The ugly truth
Say Anything
Only you (this is kinda silly but Marisa Tomei and RDJ have such great chemistry)
Miss Congeniality (Sandra Bullock is hilarious in this)
The truth about cats and dogs
Groundhog Day
One fine day
I.Q. (it's so long since i watched this - i nearly forgot about it)
The object of my affection
Ella Enchanted
Enchanted!! (This is a must-watch)
Made of honor
The D.U.F.F (Mae Whitman is super cute and I love her chemistry with Robbie Amell)
And then there are those I don't love - Pretty Woman, She's all that, Runaway Bride, My best friend's wedding (which is a decent watch), The Hating Game, The wedding planner, Maid in Manhattan (this is Cinderella)
And if you like classics then
Roman Holiday
Some like it hot
The Philadelphia story
Bringing up baby
It happened one night
His girl Friday
I'll probably have more to add, but these are off the top of my head!

Apologies for intruding your buddy read thread. I came here because I saw your list of rom-coms! You have listed all my favourites, Lizzie! I absolutely love (classics in red, other favourites in blue)
Roman Holiday (My absolute top choice! I loved Audrey Hepburn and Gregory Peck is a true gentleman in this film. The ending was so sadly beautiful.)
Four Weddings and A Funeral (I'm a Hugh Grant fan. 😆 He peaked here!)
The Philadelphia Story
Bringing up Baby
His Girl Friday
It Happened One Night (This is a classic. I have watched it 5 times already. Clark Gable is so handsome.)
The Holiday (Jude Law is definitely swoon worthy. Kate Winslet and Cameron Diaz were too good as well.)
You've Got Mail (Meg Ryan fan too!)
Groundhog Day (This one had such an exciting storyline apart from the rom-com aspect of it.)
Sleepless in Seattle
The Terminal
Bridget Jones Diary
13 Going on 30
Gentlemen Prefer Blondes
Some Like it Hot (I am a classics girl. 😄)
When Harry Met Sally (Surprisingly, I liked Billy Crystal opposite Meg Ryan. I didn't expect that.)
More of my favourites:
Jerry Maguire (The only Tom Cruise film I adore to the fullest.)
Annie Hall
She's the Man
Love Actually (Hugh Grant and Emma Thompson's stories are so wonderful.)
Sideways
Legally Blonde
The Shop Around the Corner
City Lights (If you love Charlie Chaplin)
Ninotchka (Greta Garbo is class apart)
Sabrina
Breakfast at Tiffany's (I'm probably an Audrey Hepburn fan too!)
The Apartment
Juno
The Kids are Alright
Licorice Pizza
As Good As it Gets (Jack Nicholson rom-coms are classy too)
Definitely, Maybe
Moonstruck (Cher was a surprise!)
Indiscreet
Adam's Rib
The Seven Year Itch
Vicky Cristina Barcelona
Marriage Italian Style
I am not a fan of Julia Roberts, honestly. So that kinda strikes off many from the list. I didn't like Notting Hill because it felt like a rip off of my all-time favourite, Roman Holiday. Pretty Woman felt blah to me. Miss Congeniality is on my watchlist. I'm glad I found a fellow cinephile (rom-com phile 😆) on the forum!

All these are films ?
I have been missing out on so much
sure, adding these to my never ending films-to-watch list. At this point, it’s even bigger than my TBR

I read more than I watch films. So you can guess how long my reading lists are. 😂
But you should definitely watch Lizzie and my recommendations! They're too good and light-hearted! You'll feel relaxed and happy after watching the ones we've highlighted in our posts. 😊
