Ani not having spine is a statement but it isn’t conclusive cos even if we accept that Ani has no motivation or spine to fight for himself and submits to Arshi’s will when J isn’t around… conveniently how that will appears to keep that distance from Didi? ITV ka khauff? My point is a story ko ek baat siddh karni hain toh us baat ko khulkar kehna chahiye.

I know..the whole point is keeping Arahi in the mix...for that any illogical thing they are serving...r a even if Arshi and Ani are separated and Arshi is unwilling to divorce, that will serve the purpose of Runak being separated as Arshi is still the legal wife...to kya soch ke ye ek ghar me, ek kamre me rakhe huwe hai Anishit ko? Aur upar se celibacy ka troup daalke rakha hai...how does it matter whether Ani is sleeping with her in these years or not? Just not sleeping will make him eligible for Jhanak??? For makers : Why Arshi character holds so much importance in the show?

For one character adjustment in the show, they continuously played around with leads characters and story and didn't want to correct also even after seeing dip in their numbers constantly

Let me put it this way

Arshi per se doesn’t hold any significance but if she isn’t there there is no plotline for the story. Any story with a third angle is expected to have some conflict point of why that third angle exists.. increasingly writers don’t have the creativity to imagine conflict angles for making a love story relevant. Most love stories have a conflict angle that is deeply situated within themselves which needs a resolution for the story to reach its logical conclusion. If it’s an adversarial situation love stories find a way to solve it

If we assume the only angle was a moral dilemma even then the story needed to provide how that resolves. Here Leena did not make any attempt to resolve that instead she couched se*ual assault as act under influence of alcohol and used that to establish the PL firmly centrestage and further create a baby in the situation and kick the legality question out of the window. In the end, she just made the lovers irresolute and defenceless against circumstances with one just ploy…
