I guess in this case you’ll have to slow down for me smiley36 since I think you are much more faster than I am.

For sure! I think Terms & Conditions is Book 2 in the series ? In that case, let me finish Fine Print (Book 1) and then tell you when I’m done? The other one we can start right away (or whenever you’re ready)

@b: I have highlighted some books here. I would love to buddy read with you for these books:

1) Macbeth - William Shakespeare

3) Twelfth Night - William Shakespeare

4) The Magic Drum and Other Favourite Stories - Sudha Murthy

I haven’t read Stephen King before, only heard of him. Need to read a book or two to know how is it!

On a different note, I love seeing Enid Blyton in your list. She’s a fantastic author and one of my most favourite. I read her books when I was in my 3rd / 4th grade. Malory Towers, St. Claire’s. Five detectives and dog ( Fatty, Pip, Daisy, and the lot ) — ahh great times honestly. smiley27

Yes, I would love to join. But the only problem is that I'm a very slow reader. I'll soon start buddy-reading Robinson Crusoe with LizzynDarcy. Apart from that, I'm currently reading a book named Nightmare Academy. I may start listening to an audiobook as well. Now with all of these books, it's very difficult for me read two acts of the two dramas (Hamlet and The Merchant of Venice) daily. But I really want to join.

I would like to invite Pavitra to buddy-read as well. She absolutely loves Macbeth and Hamlet. And I really like reading her analytical and interesting posts. She's an intelligent girl. So, I want to know her thoughts about Lady Macbeth's character, the sleep-walking scene, the dagger scene, the opening scene, the scene of the prophecies, the banquet scene and so on. Btw, I want to warn you that there're supernatural elements in Macbeth. I read both Macbeth and Twelfth Night when I studied English honours in the past. So, I'm completely sure about the existence of supernatural elements in Macbeth. I hope that's okay with you. And if you don't feel comfortable due to the existence of supernatural elements in the play, you can skip Macbeth and read the other three dramas of Shakespeare.

It’s been sometime but I have read almost all dramas by Shakespeare, Shirsha. I had it as a part of my coursework in English Literature subject & trust me I really love his dramas smiley36 plus I have no issues with supernatural elements. I just don’t like horror which I believe is different right ?

@b: that’s the best part about buddy reads — everyone are on the same page, quite literally and decide to read only one or two chapters per day ; in this case we’ll be reading only one act per day. If that’s difficult, we can even make it half an act to accommodate your speeds. There will be no issues because of your reading speed in this case since it’s only a fixed act/chapter per day & we can share our thoughts regarding the same. We can read at your convenience to make sure all of us enjoy the drama. Is that okay ?

@blue : let me ask Lizzy what we can do! Or else let’s do one thing. Let me know when you are reading Merchant of Venice & Hamlet, I can join you. Is that okay ? smiley9

Oh that sounds like a fantastic idea! I used to be part of a reading club with some work friends where we’d choose a book and read it over the month, it’s been a long while since everyone has gotten busy with busy schedules. Hopefully can find a book to read with others.

On my current to read list are the following that I want to get reading within this month and next:

The syndicate (final book of Dark Verse) - Runyx

Enigma - Runyx

Devilish Ink by Sienna Blake

The Devils Torment - Tracie Delaney

Still Beating - Jennifer Hartman

Lights out - Navessa Allen

Set on you - Amy Lea

Exes and O’s - Amy Lea

It’s also bank holiday weekend with an extra few days AL for me so hopefully can spare more time catching up on reading
