Imo both neil and tejaswini are grey characters (because both have their flaws) and aren't extremely righteous. I can understand why neil's family calls him the best is because he fits into that mould of what a good girl/boy is for our society and aren't able to look beyond that. Neil and tejaswini are the most realistic characters (as even on X people are divided on what they feel for neil and tejaswini and aren't supporting either of them entirely). Neil and tejaswini both are extremely immature characters, Neil because he wasn't allowed to take even a single decision by himself all through the years so he doesn't have the habit of being accountable for what he does. In case of tejaswini, she was an extremely pampered child but in the chavans' and pradhan house she has to sacrifice each of her choice. And I don't think so it because Neil got married to her that is an issue, all throughout her life she had taken decisions for herself but now she feels like Neil has taken the most important decision for tejaswini so she resents him and is unable to look beyond that.
Yes. Both characters are normal, realistic humans, with a bit of ITV tadka in the situations and circumstances around them for TRP.
I absolutely agree with the part that both Neil and Tejaswini are immature characters. Both have been living in their cocoon of dreams and expectations, unaware of what's happening around. They haven't had the chance to decide for themselves. Neil grew up in a controlling household which also cared too much for him due to his shy nature. He would have been shielded from all the harsh issues in the house. Tejaswini was the apple of her father's eye. She was also protected from all the cruelties of the world.
Unaccountability from Neil I don't totally agree because he is doctor. A doctor is always accountable for his profession and that trickles down to his personal life as well. He is accountable when his conscience tells him to be, I feel. He admitted the entire truth in yesterday's episode and agreed that all the mess is due to him. So I would rather say that he is indecisive than irresponsible/unaccountable. He doesn't know how to decide. This is why he was impulsive in saying yes to Tejaswini at the altar.
Tejaswini has lived her life on her own terms till now. That's one key point where Rutu and Teju are similar. If they had interacted more, I reckon, this is what would have attracted her to him even more. They don't live for others and haven't sacrificed much in their lives for others. Neil has. So yes, Tejaswini resents Neil because one of her most important life decisions was taken by him and not herself, more than the fact that he is not her type. She perhaps hides her helplessness behind this mask of anger and arrogance, as seen when she cried in today's episode.
