There are plenty of people who don’t apply vermillion. Even if they do, it’s not very apparent. Normally it’s not customary to wear sindoor unless there’s a special Pooja / ritual.

ITV has dramatized every aspect
But Marathi culture mein the chooda (bangles) especially green chooda, mangalsutra, toe rings and bindi are their staple. Sindoor shayad itna important nahi hai.

But otherwise there’s no specific reason, at least not that I’m aware of.

From the clips I watched, he’s doing a good job. Since it’s his first show. He’ll go places if he gains experience I believe.
