This was on the cards, because of the historical subject matter (Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj vs. Aurangzeb) and its patriotic flavor appealing to the masses and Vicky’s growing fame. Corporate bookings aside, looks like most of the real tickets sold would be in Maharashtra, Mumbai circuit especially. However it is worth mentioning that the movie will be really affected by controversies if politicians allege that it does not accurately depict Maratha culture. We have seen that with the backlash on the Lezim dance and the director promising to delete that scene.

Maddock is doing cooperate bookings, many distributors are saying this, it's been revealed that at even throughout the night the movie was selling thousands of tickets every hour lol box office has literally become a huge joke

They are doing this for their future masterpiece movies so that people come in a jhund to watch in theatres

We can't trust box office numbers anymore, since stree Maddock is so desperate to ensure every movie of theirs in a hit, they did it with skyforce and now chaava. Most producers and big stars are doing it, its the desperation to maintain the superstar and success tag.

Chaava is their big movie, they will not let be called a failure, so they will do cooperate bookings which is so easy to do in this industry

Chhaava was always set for a good start ..It has hype unlike Skyforce.

KJo started it. Brahmastra, Rocky Rani india business was all thanks to corporate booking only. By looking the other way people have normalized it. The lines are so blurred now that we will never know if the success of a movie is organic or not.

Komal Natha reveals it here, he said skyforce did it and this weeks movie release is doing block bookings, where they are already showing nearly houseful in Mumbai, obviously he's talking about chaava

Don't hint to movie, name them...I have no respect for analysts and journalists who do the hinting game.

As for Maddock, I'm not so sure that it had been them to use shady tactics to enhance boxoffice numbers, but the co-producers (Jio Studios = part of the Ambani 'empire').
