It's not true that Ani never gave a straight answer....he has given a straight answer many times.....for example in this hall scene in front of the whole family, he very clearly stated ki Pyar main SIRF Jhanak se karta hoon

But to give footage to Leena ki laadli, they show people conveniently forgetting that Ani said this CLEARLY.....and few days later phir se Didi ke dumb questions ke aage Ani ko silent kar dete hain

Yes, he was ok with Avinash Uncle also and accepted it as Jhanak ki choice....initially he tried to talk her out of that shaadi but once Jhanak showed her determination to go ahead with it, then he did accept her choice.....only protested when Jhanak herself tried to back out from the shaadi

So yeah there is a whole history of Ani many times accepting Jhanak trying to marry other men and trying to samjhao himself ki chalo safe rahegi kisi tarhan....he only protested vehemently in the case of Tejas and then AK for a while.....baaki if he found the men good/ok, he did back down when Jhanak kept pompously repeating that this is her choice and she is happy with it

Leena wants to do bewakoof banaoing with this gimmick!! Khud hi dikhaya hai Ani kisse pyar karta hai aur kaise shiddat se karta hai...uske baad fd kaise believe kare k woh dono ne pyar karta hai ya fir Arshi se pyar karta hai jaisa pyar woh Jhanak se karta hai!! The nature of love is very different for the ladies here...and this aspect Leena doesn't want to declare clearly...fir Arshi he has a guilt and care driven love which is asexual, romanceless or passionless...but for J, it's the kind of love a man feels for his masandeeda aurat..Ani can die for J, but he cannot die for Arshi...that's the difference..
