I can't really speak Sanskrit and Marathi (at least not fluently) but I can understand them... kinda similar to how it is for you with Gujarati. Would have probably used google for some help if required . I can also understand a bit of Kannada but there's no way I would be able to write in that language... even with google's help

I think most people in India know at least 2-3 languages. We had English, Hindi, Gujarati and Sanskrit in school itself... so it's not some kind of personal accomplishment on my part .
