If someone gets salary 50 or 60 crores a year like L&T chief working on sunday is ok

But most emps 0-5 years get like 2 lakh to 9 lakh per annum

So why they will work on sunday for this pittance

anyways they are working 12 hours to 14 hours(IT industry) 5 days a week

and on laptop from home on weekends

Plus work is not permanent after 3 to 5 years they will kick you out of company and replace you with a junior who comes cheap(sweat shop IT cos have 70-% 0-3 years emps only)

And if you fall sick working 12 to 14 hours a day anyways no company will help you or take care of you only your family will bother

I wonder who put this morons on top. A ceo needs to work 7 days a week. A basic employee does not need to do it. There wont be enough work. Mostly daily core hours of work is 4 hours.

Larsen & Toubro chairman SN Subrahmanyan deserves every mocking backlash he gets for his remark, I think. H e may be a workoholic and happy with that (regardless how his family thinks about that) but that hasn't to be valuable for other working men.

This guy is treating employees like machines. Even a 6 day working week is hectic.

After the company's official statement backed up that guy's words, now the HR says it was just a casual statement. And it is unfair to mock him over it. Kyu? Bura lag laat sahab ko?

Inko overtime pay karne bolo to nani maregi inki. 40 hours (officially) ki salary pe 90 hours kaam karana hai. Waise bhi no one works less that 55-60 hours even now.
