What is unethical — as a lawyer— is undercutting your client's interests to help his perpetrator. As a human being, it is absolutely scummy to cry over a domestic abuser in a family of domestic abusers. Especially you have a safety net that most people don't.

I do not hold much stock into bio parents, genes and all that. Bio moms risk their lives to birth a child, beyond that it is person's upbringing and choices which ultimately make their characters. All these male leads being mom-enmeshed adults can still choose to not enable their abusive mothers harming others, especially their partners.

Saying Vidya/Manjari/Dadi's toffee is weakness of adult men for which they can let their partners (and other people) be subjected to emotional and even permanent physical harm, then don't get married? I dunno. People cannot justify their cruelty with xyz ka dard. Instant divorce the moment that woman was giving shraaps to Abhira, and Armaam kept quiet. He is just not worth it as a partner or even as a human being.

Abhira (and every other woman in that household) has been abused by Poddars, and I can understand that she has trauma-bonded with Armaan, but sabotaging Abhir's need and chance at closure is so pathetic and disgusting, it is really just skin-crawling. There is a lot of power difference between Abhira and Armaan but both the leads are just unlikeable.
