Kapil Sharma subtly insults Atlee's looks - Page 3

That specific clip didn’t sound racist or problematic to me ….he just said atlee looks young and you would expect the director of mass blockbusters to usually be the age of rajamouli, Shankar etc …

much like what aamir once said that murgadoss looks like a tiny school kid and when he came to narrate ghajini he was expecting someone with an overbearing presence with that name and that filmography …

I feel kapil is a soft target sometimes ….ppl have a go at him coz they know his style of humor is a bit “dehati” so it’s easier for woke police to find something …but he’s not too powerful for that critique to backfire

He’s usually very respectful to his guests including newbies and south industry ppl…

So here's the thing. When there's something about somebody's appearance that society sees as a minus point , when it's quite likely this person has received many comments in that vein before and possibly has a complex about it or if not a complex , a trigger associated with it , the decent thing to do is to never say things like " ap AISE dikhte hain .." no matter what the context is ....... unless you're very close to this person and are damn sure they trust you enough to know you wouldn't say something like that. Also when it's a tv show that is notorious for body shaming you cannot act surprised when viewers assume that's what you were getting at. This looks like a deliberate attempt at controversy. It doesn't matter whether Atlee was in on it or not , it was in poor taste.

That is why I am not a big fan of Kapil. Not sure why his entire show is on fair skin and body size. At one point it looks really bad. Atlee with a lot of respect showed Kapil.
