And that will be stumps. Even though we had fewer interruptions than yesterday, only 57.5 overs were possible on day four. The day started horribly for Australia, as Steven Smith dropped KL Rahul first ball. Rahul went on to add 51 runs to his overnight total of 33 for a very well made 84. He has definitely looked like India's most assured batter in this tour. Pat Cummins got Rohit Sharma soon after Rahul was dropped, but then Rahul and Jadeja kept the bowlers at bay. Things were further complicated for Australia when Hazlewood had to be taken off after bowling just one over - and now he is ruled out of this Test, and most likely the entire series. Smith eventually took a blinder to dismiss Rahul, but Jadeja and Nitish Kumar Reddy took India closer to their goal of avoiding the follow-on. Even when Australia bagged Reddy, Jadeja and a promoted Siraj, Bumrah and Akash Deep showed great fight to ensure Australia have to bat again. Tomorrow promises to be an exciting day, with Australia looking to find a way to win and India fighting it out for a draw. The weather will again be in focus. Bumrah definitely deserves a rise bechara pure team ka bojh aapne kandho pe uthaa rakha hai iss match mein at least Jadeja hai to share the load

Ads mein toh mereko Star sports par siraf rohit and bumrah hi dikhte hain rohit with some bank ad and bumrah with pistacios

No wonder bumrah kal bola press ko ki maine maare hain bat se abh check karo

seriously waiting for rohit or GG to come and take the defeat and accept mistakes. baaki koi nahi kuch bolega

True. It reminds me of shami X bumrah at lords IG it was. bowlers aka tailenders ne hi bachaya inko.

Test mein toh pure batsman lekar he mat jao.

It always comes down to the bowlers, both with the ball and the bat.

Only KL and Jaddu performed with bat

Jadu though very average with the ball compensated with his sensible batting 👍

rohit n kohli are like elephants in the room 🐘

So glad to see akaash showing his grit and even bumra is supporting him well..

But batters are playing like tailenders now..in the last series, atleast kohli, pujara , pant n vihari played decent knocks...this time not even a single batter is consistent. Rahul is a class though but at this stage when he is at his prime + having such a solid technique, he should be more consistent 🏏
