‘Business Proposal’ star Seo Hye-won announces pregnancy four months after marriage

South Korean actor Seo Hye-won, known for her role in the popular drama ‘Lovely Runner’, has announced that she is expecting her first child. The pregnancy news comes around four months after she revealed her marriage earlier this year.

On August 10, Seo shared a photograph on her social media account along with a heart emoji. The picture featured baby clothes and a doll, while a handwritten message beside them read, “Wishing and looking forward to Hye-won's baby being born!!! May you become a happy mother ?”

The actor had announced her marriage in April through a handwritten letter posted on social media. Sharing the personal update with her followers, she wrote, “I would like to carefully share an important update in my life. I have a precious partner with whom I promised to share our lives and became husband and wife.”

Following the announcement, a representative from Seo Hye-won’s agency Starbase confirmed details about the marriage to Maeil Business Newspaper’s Star Today. The representative said, “Seo Hye-won got married earlier this year. They did not hold a wedding ceremony, but they became husband and wife after having a meal with both families.”

Seo’s marriage announcement had also received reactions from several actors she has worked with. Byeon Woo-seok, her co-star from ‘Lovely Runner’, congratulated her by commenting, “Wow, congratulations so much.” Actors Ji Ye-eun, So Joo-yeon, Ha Jun, Yoon Ga-yi and Choi Ri also shared congratulatory messages under her post.

Seo Hye-won began gaining attention in 2018 with the web drama ‘Just One Bite’. Over the years, she has appeared in several popular Korean productions, including ‘Business Proposal’, ‘Goe-ri and Naeng-so’ and ‘Extraordinary Attorney Woo’.

She later became familiar to a wider international audience through ‘Lovely Runner’, where she played Lee Hyeon-ju, a close friend of Im Sol, portrayed by Kim Hye-yoon.

With her latest social media update, Seo has now shared another significant personal milestone with her followers, announcing that she is preparing to enter motherhood.
