Not 'Juhi Mui's' Sanyam, Vijayendra Kumeria Reveals THIS Character Is Most Special To Him

Vijayendra Kumeria, currently seen in Colors TV's 'Juhi Mui' is known for his diverse characters and powerful performances. The actor has dabbled in a number of shades in his career, from intense roles to romantic and emotionally layered ones. He is currently getting praised as Sanyam, the male lead in Juhi Mui where he is seen playing a police officer for the first time.

Vijayendra has played many memorable characters but says that there is one role which is extra special to him. Talking about the character closest to his heart, the actor chose Suraj from Udaan. He explained that the role gave him the chance to explore different sides of himself as an actor and helped him understand that he could do much more than intense scenes.

“Yeah, it's true that I've played a lot of roles, and it is very difficult to choose the one closest to my heart. But if I have to, then on the number one place will be my character Suraj from the show Udaan. Not just because of the character, but because there were a lot of creative changes. The show ran for five years. I played Suraj for around three years, and during this tenure, I explored myself as an actor,” Vijayendra said.

He further recalled how Suraj's journey allowed him to move from an anti-hero to a hero while still retaining some of the character's original edge. “I was an anti-hero first, and then I became the hero. The character had different shades; though he became positive, he still had that flair in him. Before this show, I thought that I was good with intense scenes, but as I explored myself as an actor, I got to know that I can do romantic, comedy, tragedy and all sorts of genres.”

For Vijayendra, Udaan became a learning experience that helped shape the actor he is today. “So I could train myself to be a complete actor because of this character. After finishing that show, I did many other shows in which whatever I had explored about my acting skills during Udaan, I could use them in the other characters,” he added.

The actor also named Angad from Teri Meri Doriyaann as another role close to his heart. “The second one is Angad's character from Teri Meri Doriyaann. It is also very close to my heart. It was a beautiful show, a beautiful character. I was playing a Sardar in that.”

So I could train myself to be a complete actor because of this character. After finishing that show, I did many other shows in which whatever I had explored about my acting skills during Udaan, I could use them in the other characters

While Suraj and Angad remain special, Vijayendra is equally enjoying his current role as Sanyam in Juhi Mui. “The current one, Sanyam in Juhi Mui, is also very good. It's very different playing a police officer for the first time. This character has a different charm, so I'm loving playing this,” he shared.

Vijayendra summed up his journey by saying, “As I said, it is very difficult to choose one character; all of them have been very good and different from each other.”
