I thought people are honoring a man who was a good actor, producer and director. Is there any famous and successful person in today's world who is completely perfect like God, who never committed even a tiniest mistake in his/her life? Unfortunately No but still they're honored and appreciated for what they do in their career so why shouldn't Raj Kapoor be honored for his immense contribution to the growth and success of the hindi film industry? He might have been a tharki, pervert or whatever in his personal life but I don't think that really overshadows the fact that he was a great filmmaker.

This actually proves that these celebs are also human beings and they're bound to make mistakes just like we all do. 🙂 It's just like a glass of water. Some will say it is half full, some will say it's half empty based on their perceptions. Similarly these celebs also have their good side as well as bad side. He could be a tharki in his personal life but he was also one of the great filmmakers and actors of Bollywood. People are just focusing on his professional contributions and I don't think they're wrong. Sabka apna apna nazariya hai.

The mother thing was probably more complicated than what it sounds like in that interview. Maybe he meant to say the aesthetics of his mother's body left a blueprint in his mind for feminine beauty that he'd pursue later as an artist ? So it may not have been arousal per se. We need to know how old he was when this bathing together occurred before we call him a creep for that. If he was above , say 8 , that was inappropriate but the blame falls on the mother for bathing naked with her son. Sounds like a Freudian mess. Way to fck up your son.
