Musical maestros Anup Jalota, Shankar Mahadevan, and Hariharan’s Triveni 3MP (3 Master Performers) concert tour is a 12-city tour, marking their first-ever joint performance. The tour kicks off on Friday, December 27 in Ahmedabad, with performances scheduled in Delhi on Sunday, December 29 and Indore on Monday, December 30, 2024. The concert is brought to life by MH Films under Fameplayers, the creative vision of filmmaker Manish Harishankar. The artists recently rejected Manish’s suggestion of including performances by Nora Fatehi and Tamannaah Bhatia in the concert.
Speaking to Hindustan Times, Manish confirmed that he had connected with Nora and Bhatia to explore the idea, saying, “Yes, I did connect with Nora Fatehi and Tamannaah’s manager for dates and cost for performance.”
However, Anup Jalota, Shankar Mahadevan, and Hariharan’s Triveni unanimously vetoed his idea providing compelling reasons. A source shared with Hindustan Times, “When organiser Manish Harishankar from MH Films proposed including Bollywood actors such as Nora Fatehi and Tamannaah Bhatia as guest performers, the trio firmly declined. In a discussion with Shankar and Hariharan, the singers emphasised that the essence of Triveni lies in its dedication to presenting the depth and grandeur of Indian music. They added that the addition of a Bollywood guest would detract from the concert’s artistic vision”.
“Shankar, Hariharan, and Anup shared that if there were to be a guest appearance, it should be by a fellow singer who aligns with the spirit of the event, rather than an actor. They intended to ensure that the focus remains on music,” it continued.
Triveni 3MP (3 Master Performers) concert will feature dynamic staging, high-tech visual effects, immersive lighting, and synchronized screen projections designed to highlight the distinct styles of each maestro—Jalota’s soulful devotional renditions, Hariharan’s soothing ghazals, and Mahadevan’s high-energy compositions. The concert tour promises more than just a musical journey; it also delivers a grand visual spectacle. A custom-crafted stage will serve as a vibrant, ever-changing canvas with interactive light displays that respond to the rhythms and beats of the live band accompanying the maestros.
