LOL..when did anyone say it was a good movie
by that logic all movies which do well have good reviews..NOT TRUE..BO & views have no relation with how a movie is reviewed

There is proof of that - multiple times... a movie becoming a blockbuster doesn't say anything about the quality of the movie...likewise with movies getting the verdict of a flop...
I love how the dynamics have changed so quickly in 2024.
Kriti definitely hit the jackpot this year.
Not only all 3 films of her were successful, they were all "original films". No "Remake", "Biopic", "Big Pan-Indian flick", "Sequel" or a franchise film. She also debuted as a producer this year with Do Patti.
Deepika, on the other hand, made no real impact this year despite 3 big films this year. And she has practically no upcoming films (except those Spy & Cop Universe films that are gradually losing their charm) She also became a mother recently so maybe she will take a break now? (Could this be the beginning of the end of Deepika's 1st innings?)
Alia had a bad year with Jigra, scarring her reputation unexpectedly. There is a also sense of saturation that the audience has started to feel with her.
Kiara had no release this year, which seems like a mistake.
Tripti, the promising new star, also blundered this year with her choice of films. (BB3 was successful, but Tripti is nowhere being mentioned)
Taapsee ...well she's always been doing her own thing, regardless of hits/flops.
So, the only one standing tall next to Kriti this year is Shraddha with Stree 2, but she won't be able to milk that one film alone. She must deliver another good film/performance to be truly counted.
OTT pe all the films are hits.
Congrats to Kirti..
She is proving her mettle as a performer project by project, strength by strength...
Sky is the only limit...

Exactly. There's no metric of people liking it. Maybe her performance, yes.
But it's not like a Sacred Games or a Laapata Ladies or 3 of us where literally everyone was praising it.

Rather good for Kriti. I liked her Crew. She looked hot too. Hope she continues to soar
I agree with you that one can't (and shouldn't) adapt the boxoffice terms to the OTT releases.
The movie (the streaming right) has been bought by the platform which can mesure the hours (+minutes) the movie had been watched but that isn't what the OTT platform/movie earns as money...
