Yes, he has...but with a father like Amitji I suppose he didn't get much encouragement... When Amitji's production house went down, Abhishek seems just to be good as someone to earn money.

Abhishek is lazy indeed. He is a very good actor but I think he believes he is no where close to his parents and that’s his downfall. If he had worked on his PR and good roles who knows where he had reached?

Maybe he was given this feeling? It needs a lot of a rebellious character to distance oneself - inside - from a picture that media create...

Most certainly. Not through media only but in the family. Somewhere Abhishek has given up. Srk loves to work with Abhishek and that is he do cast him again in his home production movies.
