Whats the story behind Arpita Khan?

All those brothers seem very protective for her(&her kids) - but I can clearly tell she isn't their biological sister.

The story they've made public is that she was the daughter of one of their maids and was adopted by them

I found this on another website

But her biological mother was a homeless whom Salim Khan used to see when he used to go for his morning walks. Occasionally he gave the woman and her daughter some food. One day he saw the woman is dead. So he brought the child home. Everyone was very happy when a child came home so they decided to legally adopt her.
