Many things he had in his mind, besides the fact he wanted to offer the assurance that everything will be fine but he respected the small town girl's rules of life. Maybe she won't like it? That blue is on the point, but his own hesitency was also the hinderance in offering assurance.

He was a quiet character who usually spoke through his eyes and actions, but she was not that naive either. She felt the emotion of love because of him. She was a small-town girl, and marriage was all supposed to be the right path and not the other way around.
