Tbh I'm very neautral about the writing. It gets frustrating for sure but skipping scenes of literally every other character except the leads help. I'm enjoying watching the show. The day i don't no one and nothing can make me watch a show with characters like Ruhi and Dadi.

And tbh i see two very different opinions about Rishta's writing atm. One is on the forum and the other on Twitter which believes Rishta is doing very good in terms of writing like very very good

So i personally think they are doing fine. I've seen worse.

I think I'm neither here nor there when it comes to the writing.. while I agree completely they're doing better than last season, I don't think they're doing very well either lol.. they're just being what they've been always! They have the good days in between many bad days!! And that's okay.. I've been watching ITV long enough to understand this is how long running shows work especially when they are in the TRP race! I may have my problems with tracks and characters but I get that the show ultimately serves only what there TRP audience likes and appreciates.

I can appreciate that Armaan's growth and Abhira's arc as ITV leads have to ultimately meet the destined fate at the hands of the writers on most days.. But I have to admit some days the loopholes are too jarring and the unending and unilateral support of one character over the other gets the better of me to want to vent here but at the end of the day, these are fictional characters that are written to be both right AND wrong based on circumstances! No one character can be forever right (as much as we may believe it) and no one character can be forever wrong (as much as we may want it desperately) (Ruhi is an exception ).

I enjoy the episodes as a few scenes strung together as a standalone. Watch it like a show continually and that's where the problem starts! And worse, watch it from the prism of just one character and it's popcorn time on the forum!

I dont think Abhira or Armaan are justifying the partiality or bad behavior. Especially Abhira isn't justifying anything. She has repeatedly called out everyone including VM for the bias, the stepson treatment of Armaan

What Ab said about Kaveri being hurt that he picked Ab over her is true. Kaveri will always be hard on Armaan but its definitely worse now due to projected hate for Ab also onto Armaan. So she's just consoling him saying he's having to bear this extra dose of anger for her sake. They love each other and want to marry but also want her blessings too in the shaadi because she is his dadi. Theres no justification of her irrational behavior in anything Ab said.

ITV cannot write completely logical I agree but certain things are hard to ignore

Ruhi dialogues are of victim her actions are opposite

Today kaveri said something about doing wrong to Rohit because of armaan and when yesterday itself she made rohit take over his cabin and clients

Basic consistency should be maintained here episode to episode things change

She will. If he says he doesn't want Ruhi , she will coax him to try to make it work etc. The only way he can get rid of Ruhi is if he threatens self harm or leaving home if Ruhi stays or dramatically gives kasam wasam. Is it so difficult to like or dislike both lead characters at different points in time ..this blind and undying devotion to fictional characters is just not for me …I mean my heart has melted for Abhira several times ..the most when she said in Mussoorie that all the decisions with regard to the marriage have been taken out her hands ..all these TRP tracks of making her cry nonstop don’t work for me ..for that matter any character crying incessantly doesn’t work for me ..dignity even in pain or misery appeals the most to me ..that’s why I have not liked Armaan recently …I liked Armaan 2.0 because he didn’t shed copious tears …his decisions and reasoning were questionable but somewhere you could understand why he was doing what he was doing ..I would give RP a lot of credit for that …but this track is just not working for me …I think my disillusionment started the day Sanjay outsmarted him on the annulment …and I haven’t had a single reason to go wow on him ever since !
