I remember talking to a friend during TB who watched it till the end. Her words were she didn't understand why the FL left & then came back on her own. That's how important she was for the show. The makers threw her under the bus to save the ML as it was him who drived the show.

Apart from a few of us who were finding nuances in the character I doubt any neutral viewer liked the performance of the FL. It has lately come down to the chemistry only.

I can now understand the chemistry talks going on here because the contribution from the other side is the chemistry only. Wahaj was a performer for sure in TB

Absolutely, you know such blockbusters are mostly achieved because of the alpha male lead characters.

Ktk, tb, and im had strong male leads with grey shades having alpha traits that attract young audiences hence they achieved bb views on yt.

The chemistry part is secondary, you could easily fill in other actors as mehek, meerab and shibra and would get the same ratings and views. Also the female charcaters had no audience appeal and were only there as mls love interest.

I second that, it was wahaj's show through and through. His shawl, his moonch, his styling, his smirk, his smile, his attitude, his tiger walk, his acting everything caught audience attention.

Even his hands got attention thanks to aamna, who couldn't stop drooling over wahaj and his character in the show.

I was talking about Bilal in PKS. That's literally his second best performance after IM. Some people even consider it his best.

He gets dissed while Yumna & the chemistry get the full credit. I remember the rave reviews the show got from India as well. I didn't see people talking about the chemistry solely then. While Yumna got praised so got Bilal. I didn't see anyone excluding him while talking about the performances. I remember how the critics of Pak were in awe for his portrayal.

I said I can say it for TB then which literally rode on Murtasim & chemistry mainly.

The lady who played Murtasim's sister said the same in an interview that people love Murtasim and they extend that love to people whom Murtasim loves

Director and writer also spoke about everyone's love for Murtasim

I don't get why it is being denied that Murtasim was a fan favourite, none cared when Meerab's character was ruined everyday but people trended and revolted when they thought Murtasim was being ruined

Murtasim, Meerasim were popular but Meerab was not loved, in fact most didn't like her.

I started watching the drama through Murtasim's shawl edit on my Instagram but obviously people loved Meerasim more than any character so there's that

Exactly. I was the only one from non fans here who credited Yumna. I in fact said that her reactions to Murtasim's actions were apt. I talked about her nuances she added to the character. But can anyone deny here how she didn't even get a proper POV throughout the show? The character was reduced to Murtasim's fantasy only just because the people revolted as their darling character was doing a grave sin.

That was even discussed over here. How the FL was always the target of that story and the FL was unnecessarily thrown under the bus a lot of times and that’s why that show is remembered only for chemistry and not the acting. Well contribution per say both the actors contributed equally. He got his breakthrough from TB or kya chahiye.

Same way same technique not everywhere ML can be downplayed. Pks got to be a hit because of both bilal and yumna, also it was getting appreciation for both bilal and yumna. It was not just yumna’s show it was bilal’s as well, as tere bin is for yumna. So I know what you are trying to saysmiley2

His dialogues were trending too whether it was "Zeher lag rahi ho" or "Black dress"

I remember so many Tiktoks of girls in black dress with that voiceover

Tere Bin was a Murtasim Khan show, would have been much better if they had added him marrying Haya was a way to expose her but writer 🤬

I loved Meerasim too but never really cared about Meerab, if they had kept her core character as she was introduced fighting for women's rights, I would have liked her more

Exactly, Farooq rind said he wanted yumna for shibra character, but even without her, show became a bb because of Bilal's superb acting plus dure has way more ground popularity than her. Men are crazy for her, all her shows get record breaking views. She is close to hania in terms of online cross border popularity. And ofcourse ground tv viewers toh love her, the trps of her shows are proof of that.

You know reviewers of kdh even said that yumna is misfit for the character and they wanted some other actor as meerab.

Also the character was a typical righteous bichari fl, I think even dure would have easily aced the role.
