Absolutely. But not all the buzz about Heeramandi is negative.

Most of the hate is towards Sharmin.

The series overall is getting equal traction for its aesthetics and good performances (barring Sharmin's offcourse).

Aditi's Gajagamini's walk is viral too.

You really comparing Heermandi with Archies ?? Heeramandi is far from being a masterpiece but Archies was mostly unanimously hated even as a film, along with the performances of almost everyone.. Hysteria around Heermandi is bigger and quite positive-leaning

Looks like all the fuss around Sharmin's poor acting has indirectly benefited the series, in creating more hype/buzz around the show.

Those who ended up watching the show, are actually praising the music, the aesthetics and the good performances in the series (barring Sharmin's offcourse).

I just watched it, i dont know whats the hoolapa about. It's very much like SLB's last few movies, its a good one time watch. Yes Sharmin was a miscast and probably if not nepotism, someone more talented like the girl from laapata ladies, who was side character here, should have played Alam. But even then, she wasnt that bad. Heeramandi def took me to SlB vision, it was boring toward the end, but show had good pace and actual story.

and its def not like Archies, because archies no one could act, direct nothing. It was awful to the point that i stopped mid episode. It was torture

But how do we know it's a hit? I know it was no.1 on netflix and had some 5 million views in a week but 5 millions views are nothing.Are they?

Even Taaha was better than her, she was ok in some scenes
