Chapter 2
Garry's mother, Jasleen, was a pillar of strength and compassion. When she learned about Seerat's pregnancy and their decision to elope, she knew that they needed to make things right with the rest of the family. She believed in the power of forgiveness and reconciliation, and she was determined to help Garry and Seerat mend their relationships.
On a sunny afternoon, Jasleen drove Seerat and Garry to Seerat's family home. Seerat was nervous, her hands trembling in her lap as they pulled into the driveway. Garry reached out and squeezed her hand, offering her silent support.
Jasleen turned to them with a reassuring smile. "Everything will be okay, I promise. We're here together, as a family."
With Jasleen leading the way, they approached the front door. Seerat's heart pounded in her chest as she rang the doorbell.
Seerat's father, Ajeet, opened the door, his expression guarded. But when he saw Jasleen standing beside Seerat and Garry, his expression softened slightly.
"Mr. Singh, we've come to apologize," Jasleen began, her voice gentle yet firm. "Garry and Seerat made a mistake by eloping, and they understand the pain and disappointment they caused you and your family."
Seerat stepped forward, her voice steady despite her nerves. "Dad, I'm sorry. I know I hurt you by leaving without telling you, but I love Garry, and we're going to raise this baby together."
Ajeet's expression softened as he listened to Seerat's words. He looked from Seerat to Garry and then to Jasleen, his eyes filled with emotion.
After a long moment, he sighed and stepped aside, gesturing for them to enter. "Come inside. We have a lot to talk about."
As they stepped into the house, Seerat felt a weight lift off her shoulders. She knew that they still had a long way to go to rebuild their relationships, but she also knew that they were taking the first step together, as a family. And with Jasleen by their side, she felt hopeful that they could overcome any obstacle that came their way. ( Little did they know he hadn't forgiven them so easily)
After a heartfelt conversation with Seerat's family, Jasleen suggested they visit her side of the family next. She believed that seeking forgiveness and understanding from both families was crucial for their future as a couple and as new parents.
The next day, Jasleen drove Seerat and Garry to her family's home. Seerat felt a mix of nerves and anticipation as they pulled up to the familiar house. Garry held her hand tightly, offering silent support.
As they entered the house, Seerat was greeted by her aunt, uncle, and her cousin, Angad. Seerat's heart sank as she saw Angad standing there, his expression unreadable. He was her ex-fiancé, the man she had left at the altar when she eloped with Garry.
Jasleen took a deep breath, breaking the tense silence. "I know this is unexpected, but there's something important we need to discuss."
Her family gathered around, their expressions curious yet wary.
Jasleen continued, her voice steady. "Seerat and Garry made a mistake by eloping. They understand the hurt and disappointment they caused, and they're here to apologize."
Seerat stepped forward, her voice filled with emotion. "I'm sorry for what I did, Angad. I know I hurt you, and I regret it every day."
Angad's expression softened as he listened to Seerat's words. "Seerat, I... I forgive you."
Tears welled up in Seerat's eyes as she hugged Angad tightly. "Thank you, Angad. I'm so sorry."
As Seerat and Angad embraced, Garry felt a pang of jealousy, but he pushed it aside. This wasn't about him; it was about Seerat and her family finding closure.
Jasleen smiled, relieved that her family was willing to forgive and move forward. "Thank you, everyone. I know this isn't easy, but it means a lot to Seerat and Garry."
As they left Jasleen's family home, Seerat felt a sense of relief wash over her. She knew that they still had a long way to go to rebuild their relationships, but she also knew that they were on the right path.
And with Garry by her side, she felt hopeful that they could overcome any obstacle that came their way. Together, they were ready to face whatever the future held.
After all the hugs and apologies, Garry took Angad aside to talk to him.
Garry: Angad bro, I hope you're not angry."
"Angad: I'm not. It hurt, but I can tell you both are in love. Besides, I'm already falling for a certain hazel-eyed girl."
"Garry: Sahiba! Omg, my brother's in love."
"Angad: Shh, calm down. Don't tell anybody, okay? I'm waiting for the right chance."
Garry smiled, happy to see his friend finding happiness again. "Your secret's safe with me, Angad. I'm rooting for you and Sahiba."
Angad grinned, grateful for Garry's support. "Thanks, Garry. And congratulations to you and Seerat. You're going to be amazing parents."
As they rejoined the rest of the family, Garry felt a sense of gratitude for the forgiveness and understanding they had received. He knew that they still had a long way to go, but with the love and support of their families, he was confident that they could overcome any obstacle that came their way.
As the evening progressed, Garry and Seerat felt a weight lift off their shoulders. They shared smiles and laughter with their families, grateful for the opportunity to mend their relationships.
Angad and Garry's conversation remained between them, a silent agreement to keep each other's confidences. Despite the tumultuous past, a sense of camaraderie emerged between the two men as they navigated their own paths to happiness.
As the night drew to a close, Seerat and Garry exchanged glances filled with love and gratitude. They knew that they had a long road ahead, but they also knew that they were not alone. With the support of their families and each other, they were ready to face whatever challenges came their way.
As they said their goodbyes and headed home, Seerat leaned against Garry's shoulder, feeling a sense of peace settle over her. No matter what the future held, she knew that they had the strength and resilience to overcome it together.
And as they drove into the night, the warmth of their love enveloped them, lighting the way forward into a brighter tomorrow.
As they said their goodbyes and headed home, Seerat leaned against Garry's shoulder, feeling a sense of peace settle over her. No matter what the future held, she knew that they had the strength and resilience to overcome it together.
SEERAT AND GARRY WERE SLEEPING IN THE CAR WHEN
Seerat's contractions started early in the morning, a dull ache in her lower back that grew stronger with each passing minute. She tried to keep calm, focusing on her breathing as she waited for Garry to wake up.
When he finally stirred, Seerat couldn't hide her anxiety. "Garry, it's time," she said, her voice trembling with excitement and nervousness.
Garry's eyes widened in realizationand told the driver to stop the car , his heart racing with anticipation. "Okay, okay, let's go," he said, trying to hide his own nerves as he helped Seerat out of the car.
They made their way to the hospital, Seerat gripping Garry's hand tightly as another contraction washed over her. By the time they arrived, she was breathing heavily, her face flushed with exertion.
The nurses quickly got Seerat settled into a room, and as the contractions grew stronger, she found herself lost in a haze of pain and anticipation.
Garry stayed by her side, offering words of encouragement and support as Seerat pushed through each contraction. Despite the pain, she found strength in Garry's presence, knowing that they were in this together.
Finally, after what felt like an eternity, it was time. With one final push, Seerat felt a wave of relief wash over her as their baby entered the world, crying out for the first time.
Tears of joy streamed down Seerat's face as she held their little one in her arms for the first time, her heart overflowing with love and gratitude. And as she looked up at Garry, she knew that their journey was just beginning. But no matter what challenges lay ahead, they would face them together, as a family.
SEERAT GOT DISCHARGED FROM THE HOSPITAL AND THEY ARE BACK AT HOME
But little did they know, a storm was brewing on the horizon. As they arrived home, they found a mysterious envelope waiting for them on their doorstep. Inside was a letter, the contents of which would change everything.
Garry's hands trembled as he read the words written on the page, his heart sinking with each passing moment. Seerat looked over his shoulder, her eyes widening in shock as she read the letter.
"What is it, Garry? What does it say?" she asked, her voice trembling with fear.
But before Garry could respond, a sudden knock at the door interrupted them. With a sinking feeling in the pit of their stomachs, they realized that their troubles were far from over.
As they exchanged worried glances, they knew that whatever lay on the other side of that door would only bring more challenges and obstacles into their already tumultuous lives.
