Why

I loved Lapata Ladies. Best of 2024 and easily one of the best from the last couple of years. I watched it twice in a row. Made me cry and made me smile. Very heartwarming, empowering without being preachy in any way! Will definitely be on my top ten Hindi films to recommend to those not familiar with the language.

You know what I loved about this movie?

It is simple, made on a tight budget, but has such a big heart. such a massive, massive win for sweet and empowering storytelling! without ever being condescending or preachy!

Just re-subscribed yesterday to Netflix again only to watch Laapata ladies after like two years, after reading Mintyblue posts... and other members rave reviews that just raised my expectations way too much...

I hope it will meet all of the humongous expectations.
