If its 10 crore opening, then its really good. Considering, Kjo RKR and RK’s TJMM opened in same range. kareena actually has box office pull. Regarding kirti, replace her with rakhi sawant or Arshi khan opening would have been same or even better

That was what I read a few weeks ago. Though, apparently now it's estimated to be between 40-50 cr. They spent zero on marketing. It's not tough to reach that unless the movie crashes completely in the weekdays, and even then, we just saw TBMAUJ claw its way to a hit status so 🤷

TBMAUJ earned on One Ticket One Free offer, they did that from Day 1 if it had done 80 cr, it has pumped 40 cr by distributing free tickets, what kind of Hit or Success is this?

Covering budget isn't equal to Hit, if we go by this logic then we won't have any flops/Disaster films.

Crew has a sprung a surprise at the box office as far as the opening day is concerned as it collects in the 9.50 crore nett range which is a solid number even if you allow for the Good Friday holiday. The film has scored very well in metros and is fantastic in the Delhi NCR belt while even the mass circuits have respectable numbers be it Rajasthan or CI.

I have no idea how the economics of this works tbh. It used to be simple before, but everyone in Bollywood wants to hide their budgets now and fudge with numbers to declare successes. I agree with you, it doesn't make sense.
