Author Note: This is a one-shot... meaning it cannot be extended/updated.
Also its not a happy story...partially because I'm terrified the writers are going to mess up the GV lovestory like the ruined the RN 😡 and partially because I was in a bad mood yesterday 😛
Its my first attempt at writing ... Please be kind 😊

BREATHE
Breathe….
Just breathe…
"Aur aap auron ko khud se compare kijiye hi mat, kyunki aap ki toh baat hi alag hai"
The lights seemed too bright. It was hurting his eyes. Her eyes… a mixture of hope, mischief and childlike innocence.
"Kya aaj raat kuch hoga.….Aaj Valentines day hai…Toh kya hum kuch karange?"
And a flash of her smile, as he looked at her through the review mirror of his jeep. She looked almost triumphant at having caught him looking at her. Her smile was brighter than the lights that were threatening to blind him. He raised an arm to shield his eyes.
And felt something warm run down his arm…..
"Aap Bahut soch samjhar daav lagati hai Cadet"
" Lagaana padega Sir. Aapki zindagi daav par hai"
Oh God blood…….Now he was having trouble focusing. The lightheadedness he felt threatened to overpower his conscious mind. He couldn't see anymore. But he remembered how she felt as he pressed her up against the wall. He had almost lost control that day, and she had acted as his anchor. He remembered how the satin of her nightsuit felt under his fingers, and yet he could feel the warmth of her body under it.
But why did he feel so cold now?
There was blood everywhere. It was just blood. He was no stranger to blood. He was a soldier after all. Then why was a feeling a dread building up inside him?
"Bharosa nahi hai mujjh par? ………"
"Khud se bhi zyaada"
And gunshots……..
"Aap mujhpe toh bharosa kar sakti thi"…
He wished now that he had never said those words. He wished he had said other things…more important ones. He had lost his chance.
'They say it is better to have loved and lost than to not have loved at all….They lied…' He thought bitterly.
Breathe …
Just breathe
