Imlie has been a devotee of Radharani her entire life, she has been this loving bubbly girl who always treated everyone with kindness. She worked herself like crazy to be able to take care of Ashu. She endured all of Mami’s ill treatement and the badnami of being a bar singer in a village. Like Agastya had mentionned, this girl always looks for the good in people and deep down only wants love. In the episode where Meera left, it was the first time we actually saw Imlie open up and share her yearning for a family.

Agastya promised to give her that love and that family. And for someone who’s never allowed herself to even dream of such a reality, he was offering her the world. The whole Kairi reveal happened at the mandap and he left. Dadi went all crazy and he stupidly decided to fake marry another girl till she got better. No background check, nothing.

After the Ashu kidnapping and Navya’s reveal as the real villain, they rushed to get married. When she voiced her fear of believing that long term happiness isn’t for her, he reassured her saying that he wouldn’t let anything take him away from her. Not even 30 minute later, he died. He left her with a heavy promise of taking care of his family and a void in her heart. He took every part of her that knew how to be happy with him. He didn’t even try to survive for the sake of their love, he just gave up.

And now because of his mistake and his promise, she’s facing so much humiliation and she’s living through terrible conditions. She overworked herself without proper rest, shelter or nutrition running the aloo puri thela and going to school during that first month. His promise brought her back to the Chaudhary mansion as a maid, whilst his fake wife gets pampered and his twin brother makes her life even harder to live.

Sukoon naam ki koi cheez hai iss ladki ki zindagi mein? Is the only happy ending she’ll get be in another 100 episodes (if we even get there) when she settles for Surya?

I really feel bad for Imlie, why couldn’t they let her be with her Babu…

I totally agree Kashish. Seriously - Why can't we have an enemy of Chaudhary and how Agastya and Imlie tackle them together. Neither Agastya nor Imlie ever got the love they deserved and this fall from the cliff immediately after their marriage was so bad. It is as if the writers are sadistic to even give some happiness to the characters.

@bold:- Yes this was the most hurting part of the accident at the cliff. Agastya could get Imlie up to safety but he did not even try to pull himself up to survive. He just took a promise from the girl and he gave up. And this girl for that one promise she came back to Chaudhary house and is living like a maid even with the family hating and shaming her every single day. And tomorrow we are again going to have Dadi amma with her paranoia again bad mouth Imlie and call her bazaroo.

I feel so bad for Imlie - They should have killed both of them. Are they going to show that Imlie will now compromise her love for babu and will marry Surya who is technically her BIL? I don't know about TRP audience but it definitely does not suit my tastes. I am thinking of quitting the show now as today they have pretty much made it clear that this is Surya.

Oh wait. Okay. Did Surya see the flashbacks?

I’m telling y’all Raj from DDLJ is on the writing team. Jab dekho “palat palat palat” and the story changes in a different direction. All my hope got ruined like Imlie’s bandage by the water on the floor, although I’m finding it hard to believe that something will mend it at this point.

This whole time, I felt cool as a cucumber because I started believing that this was our August Babu in disguise with or without memory loss. We were joking about the future banter and upcoming marriage. But now everything feels wrong. That flashback cemented the fact that this is Surya and the one who died that day was Agastya.

Same as Sharada and Ren, I feel cheated. Everyday, we see Imlie allow herself to live only because of her promise to her Babu. Because he wanted her to fulfil her goals, instead she’s been dragged down by his family drama. Even today, seeing not only the Chaudhary’s but also Surya taunt her was so annoying. She again got thrown out of the house and it was worse than the precap.

See now my motivation to watch the show is dying because every time Surya will touch her, I’ll remember how he’s not Agastya. Her mistreatment is going to continue and part of it will be because of the person who shares the same face as the love of her life. Since Binni also put in Dadi’s mind that Imlie is trying to take away another grandson of hers, the shaming will start.

This feels so cruel, her rajkumar will never be back and instead she’ll have to settle for the rakshas instead. Their story will be incomplete when they still had so much to experience together. Does Gul have a thing against happiness? Their story ended at the agar magar ki dagar…we never got see them enjoy their married life.

In a twisted way, Surya almost understands Imlie’s predicament of always being blamed for things. Hopefully, they’re not going to make her sympathize too much with him because of it. I’m not excited anymore for the upcoming track y’all. Someone bring positivity back in the AT, today’s episode dubao-ed all of my umeed with rain.

@bold: - 100% true. We never got to see their married life. I seriously feel all the writers are sadists. They had so much they could have shown with Sonali - Amar and Amrit coming in. Agastya fighting to get Imlie and his mother Meera respect from the society and the family. Yeah they could have introduced the twin story too and Meera and Agastya could have given Alka the rightful punishment which the Chaudhary's never give.

Nope now they are going to show that Surya and Imlie will settle and have a life together ? How are they even going to justify Imlie having feelings for Surya when that girl is full on consumed with love for her babu. Whatever Imlie does - she will be shamed now and her love towards Agastya would be questioned. I don't have it in me to watch the cryfest this show has turned into. Every day seeing Imlie struggle for that thankless family makes my blood boil. How can anyone be so cruel - did they not see how much Agastya loved Imlie and how much Imlie loved him back. None of the characters are redeemable now.

If they indeed wanted Surya to be an individual character, it would have been better if they made Imlie start fresh somewhere else and see Surya's hamashakal. And the story could have started with a fresh family.

Yes Surya had a flashback of his childhood where he was suffering from fever from sleeping on the floor and Malti covering him with blanket and doing cold water compress. So it pretty much cemented that this guy is Surya and not Agastya with or without memory loss.

I have lost all hopes after this flashback was shown. They are trying to redeem Surya ka character and Surya went behind Imlie to get her back in rain after Malti told Surya the truth that the goons did not come due to Imlie. So Surya bought Imlie back and did bandage to her. Whatever - I can not see any close scenes of Surya and Imlie now as he is clearly not Agastya.

Exactly - They could have made Surya a doppelganger and Imlie could have felt drawn to the character due to the same face and they could have started with a fresh family. Making Surya the twin brother of Agastya and then with the same Chaudhary's who are crossing all limits of decency - I am not having any zeal to watch the show now. It feels as if Imlie's love towards Agastya was being compared/reduced to the same face when that is not the case.

Almost all the characters are negative and against imlie this show right now except for Sonali. Chutki os of no use. And Imlie is willingly staying among these negative people. Yeh devotion towards Agastya nahi ye stupidity hain.

Yes feels like it. Today's last conversation was that Surya saying that he will trust Imlie if she tells him the truth. And tomorrow's precap main Imlie tells Surya that she has seen the friend of Raghu Anna that day with Raghu.

The only way the show can be redeemed now is that they show Imlie helping Surya catch the killer of Raghu and then Surya help Imlie dig up the truth of Agastya's accident thereby uncovering Agastya being in coma somewhere. There is no other way. Without Agastya this story is dead and they can not reboot the story with Surya and Imlie.

I was honestly thinking about that the other day. Had they just killed off both Imlie and Agastya after the mandir marriage, we could’ve had a reincarnation track. They would’ve at least died with their love, instead of leaving one of them to suffer.

With the 20 some years it would take for Agastya and Imlie to be back to their current ages, we could’ve still had some different personalities for Sai and Adrija to play. He still could’ve been Surya, the rude South Indian cop, and she could’ve been Paro/Imlie, a poor girl who came to work at the Chaudhary’s as a maid.

After their death, Binni could’ve taken advantage of the situation and taken over the entire Chaudhary Sweet’s empire. They still could’ve given her a fake waaris to pass off as Agastya’s, she could’ve tormented the Chaudhary’s for years. Dadi could be dead or even alive with some grey hair, since ITV does have great-grandmothers look young these days. Binni would’ve made for a compelling villain at that point.

Sonali could’ve been married to Amar. Her and Chutki or one of their daughters could’ve still ended up in that situation with Raghu and Imlie could’ve saved them. They would see her face that way and start feeling protective of her on top of being grateful that she saved their lives.

Surya could’ve still ended up at the Chaudhary’s to investigates Imlie as Paro. They both could’ve started getting flashbacks of their past life. It would still be our Imlie and August Babu in essence. And we as an audience would’ve gotten to see them fall in love all over again.

I’m telling you we can write better story than them.
