I like SRK but don't like some of his fans.

He is an actor..For his sake, pls don't put him on a pedestal where he can do no wrong..allow him a chance to make mistakes. Leave room for errors. He is a human. Don't justify everything he does.

Don't pressurize him to fit in ur ideals of doing the right thing. U know his idea of right or wrong can differ from yours. Let him make the choice

SRK doesnt like to glorify the acts of his villainous characters. So next time pls say he played a villian in Anjaam, Darr and Baazigar..don't say he got success playing n anti-hero.

Success of a film is an objective fact and glorification of a villain is your subjective choice. You can absolutely say SRK’s villainous movies have been successful or his acting has been praised without glorifying his character. There’s a difference.

Also not sure what the last paragraph means (and if it’s referring to SRK film characters) but it’s not that hard to remember character names when he’s played Rahul and Raj interchangeably in almost every second film lmao. Barring the time he played Arjun Sagar (coz hot), Kabir Khan (hot), Aman Mathur (extra hot), Veer Pratab Singh (hot), Vikram Rathore (hot). Most of his character names are in the movie titles itself (Karan Arjun, Raju Ban Gaya Gentlemen, Ramjaane, Devdas, Guddu, Asoka, Jab Harry Met Sejal, Pathaan, Om Shanti Om.

Now if that question was aimed at characters played by Vivek Oberoi or my puttar Abhishek Bachan, then mein tumhaari saath hoon. Who are these people remembering character names for Vivek and Abhishek? Idhar aao, reveal yourselves to me.

The only 2 characters of your puttar Abhishek I remember is Prem loser kumar in Mai prem ki diwani hu and ACP Jai lazy dixit in Dhoom 2. In both movies he kept sulking on why the women chose someone hotter than him . I enjoyed the movies, Sanjana was awesome, so was Sunehri the golden chick

Sunny Deol was the star of Darr and the movie was footed in his name unlike Anjaam and Baazigar. Not an apt comparison.

Not every movie necessarily requires a hero though.

• Baazigar was focused on the story of the anti-hero played by SRK who seeks revenge. There was no other hero in the film.
• Anjaam was focused on the story of the villain played by SRK who is obsessed with the heroine, Shivani (played by Madhuri). I didn’t need google to remember her character name. There was no hero in the film. In fact Shivani became the hero of her own story, taking matters into her own hands and killing the villain.
• Darr was focused on a mentally ill stalker played by SRK who is obsessed with Kiran (Juhi). The ‘hero’ was Sunil (Sunny).

Umm that makes zero sense. If I made a film centred around a negative action and how that affects victims, people will remember the villain because it is their actions which are driving the plot. If I make a film about Nazi Germany, people will remember how Hitler convinced an entire country that hating and killing minorities is okay to right some imaginary historical affront.

The audience will remember him because his actions and depravity are shocking to human psyche, not because his character is glorified.

Anjaam and Darr were two films where the villain made the heroine's life hell in ways that shocks our subconsciousness. That's why they are remembered. As opposed to, say, Chalte Chalte and HTHS where his characters were pieces of shit but not unusual to the kind of people we see around.

It has nothing to do with glorification of villains

Negative role karke fame koi bhi le sakta hai, SRK got fame playing villain only in starting else no one cared about him in films like Chamatkar or Raju Ban gaya.

Even those roles went to him as other hero rejected them
