Don't care for the SRK-Bhai dumping here, but I watched Tere Naam a year back (not on my volition) and as much as Salman's acting left me in splits, the movie on the whole was not toxic. There was some herogiri in the beginning involved like in all Bollywood movies. But Radhe suffers a terrible fate and anyone who has watched the movie would never come out with a good impression of Radhe. Nobody would say I want to be Radhe or aspire to be him. There was no glorification. Even then, it's great that Salman had said that he doesn't want to do roles like Radhe again because he didn't like it and doesn't want to influence impressionable minds with the kind of reach he has.
Have to politely disagree here. The film did portray Radhe as a bad but empathy-inducing human being. You would not find Alpha male, Omicron male, Theta male subcultures applied to him. He was human unlike Testesterone Testesterone Testesterone virility virlity virility Kabir Singhs and Ranvijays. He met a bad fate i.e. ended up disabled is not karmic retribution for the stalking and sexual harrassment of Nirjara. He/logically anyone could have ended up in the same situation by getting hit by a vehicle.
Contrary, she ends up falling for him and their ends are portrayed as a tragic love story.
So while one might take away that street fighting is horrid and can only end badly; one can also take aways that forcing unwanted romantic attention on a person is okay because they will eventually see the goodness of your feelings and "love" you back.
I donāt understand those who didnāt see it posting in this topic. Itās like me posting in some topic saying who even watched xyz š¤¬
Sorry wat_up.. But you did(still doing in every Animal post) post in Animal thread and criticized without watching the movie... Maybe the poster who said that watched only some stills and saying that ,like you did for Animal..
OT- Didn't watch Tere Naam..Watched only it's original version (Vikram's Sethu)
I have seen the movie earlier I just saw clips but Iām not only one who did without seeing it but I saw it n criticized it but I didnāt say that whoever saw animal is xyz is my point. I just trashed the movie not the viewers seeing it. Though I did say I liked the songs. Those talking in the movie saying itās problematic etc Iām not arguing with as itās their opinion. Plus the poster didnāt say they saw clips they just said who would see such a xyz movie.

yes end was heart wrenching.
I saw the original ending when the frame got froze while the vehicle took Salman away.
Later on I saw the alternate ending as well where they showed Salman in the asylum with a long beard and doing something with a Mor-pankh... both of the endings were heart breaking nonetheless.
