It's time for the final game of the Super Six stage as England Under-19 takes on Zimbabwe Under-19 in game no. 12 at the JB Marks Oval, Potchefstroom. Both sides are seated in the bottom half of the table. England Under-19 carried a couple of points from their group stage and lost the game against their arch-rivals Australia Under-19, what dealt as a virtual knockout blow was how they lost as that heavy defeat of 110 runs slipped them down in the table hampering their NRR.
Skipper Ben McKinney has got starts but he has failed to put up that breakthrough innings. his partner Theo Wylie hasn't had the best of times in the rainbow nation as well. The side needs someone to take the responsibility to bat deep and convert those starts into a big score. Bowling though has been good from England Under-19 but they have leaked a bit too many in their previous game.
Zimbabwe Under-19 on the other hand sits rock bottom with no points under their belt. The side has played well against the Associate nation but failed to put up any sort of fight against those Test-playing nations. Ronak Patel and Panashe Taruvinga with the bat and Ryan Simbi and Newman Nyamhuri with the ball have been good prospects for them to nurture for the future.
The side is playing for pride and would be looking to inflict the upset of the tournament on England Under-19 in their final game. With England Under-19 needing a commanding victory can Zimbabwe Under-19 sneak past them and take happy memories back home
