7 crores?!! 😳😳😳. That’s not a drop, that’s a nosedive. Yikes!

Trade will be spending the next few months analyzing what went wrong with this one. I’m sure lack of promotions played a huge part. I know Pathan didn’t do any promotions either but it had the novelty of SRK’s return, and hit songs. After realizing that the songs didn’t click perhaps they should have moved to plan B and started promotions. I don’t think it would have stopped this Monday drop but it could have given it a much bigger opening weekend numbers and a better cushioning for this Monday drop.

If this was really made with a 300cr budget, and given that it’s Sid Anand and Hrithik and Deepika it was probably sold to distributors at a high price too, it might end up becoming a flop

Hrithik isn't MASS or a Pan India star. 30-40% of Hrithiks collections come from Mumbai which is by far the highest of any star. Some like Dhoom 2 had almost 50% of total collections coming from Mumbai. He's also strong in West Bengal, Mysore, Andhra Pradesh. Decent in Delhi & Punjab. But pretty much non-existent in the rest of India.

Considering his strong circuits there was no need for those Jingoistic dialogues. Mumbai & Bengal don't take too well to those dialogues while the ones that do, Hrithik has little to no Pull. They've back-fired. Should've stuck to his core audience. Not everyone can get away with those dialogues, definitely not Hrithik.

Bad promotions, flop songs ,overdose of action films in the last year, plus hrithik ki movie mass circuits mein nhi chlti zyada ,mostly multiplexes mein hi they work

I think they either became over confident. Why deepika did not promoted her movie so much is still a mystery. She may be sick, who knows. Ranbir promoted a lot with Animal and so did Sara and Vicky. Promotion needs to be taken very seriously.
