Highway happened because of KJO.

Mahesh Bhatt was a very popular and very well respected director at one point. And has a number of box office hits and critical acclaim to his credit. But at some point he got too caught up in his own pseudo philosophical ways and started making off beat movies. Although some can argue that he was ahead of his time in terms of storytelling. KJo took interest in Alia because she’s Mahesh Bhatt’s daughter. Alia in return completely submitted all her career and professional decisions to Karan Johar. I suspect she still does to this day. Others like Ananya, Janhvi, etc probably aren’t as submissive as Alia or don’t have parents who’ve more or less given up any professional involvement with their kid the way Mahesh and Soni have with Alia to KJo.

Alia at best would be where Rhea Chakraborty is today without KJo.

To those saying she be doing erotica under bhatts..well no..not even that..bhatts had women like sunny leone, bipasha etc as leads for these who were super hot and stunning..Alia looked like kid when she made her debut..she still is a cute pretty girl but not sexy or hot..so no..i feel at best she be joining her siblings pooja and rahul in doing Bigg Boss and getting evicted in 2/3 weeks unlike Pooja who has a solid personality and stood till the end..

I reckon she'll still shine because the talent's there. KJo couldn't really do much for Sid, Jhanvi, and the gang if they didn't have that natural flair.

I mean even in 2023 like after 12 long years in the industry she was pulling strings through to get into Met Gala as Prabal's +1, her spectacular HW ott debut speaks volumes about her value without Kjo.

With the kind of involvement Kjo has had in her professional, personal and heck even her "competitors" professional decisions a genuinely talented actor would have been much more successful than Alia is, who till date is struggling to survive without Kjo. Even her glutathione induced slavic skin happened when her Kalank naam ka audition tape for SLB, so I guess wo bhi usi ki den hai

To answer your question at best she would have been a forgettable BB contestant.
