Especially since it wasn’t even a proportionate response to what Ayra did - she was legit just working late and had told him not to come pick her up but he went anyway 🤷‍♀️ So what can I say except it was just pettiness. It’s like a child craving for attention but not getting to play with his favorite toy and having to make do with the backup toy.

It was also unfair to MJ as well. To be used in a zaid ayra tiff. To get her hopes up like that. She didn’t mind of course but she doesn’t mind anything that Zaid does, even if it comes at the cost of her self respect 🤦🏻‍♀️

Just makes you think what would happen if Zaid and MJ aren’t getting along. Is he going to sleep with an option # 3? 😂 Bottomline is you can’t run away from relationship problems by using someone else as a cushion. You need to sort them out one on one without involving a third person - and Zaid’s reaction was really immature.

If he wanted companionship they could have had coffee or dinner together - coming to the bedroom was deliberate, especially when he pointedly told Ayra that this is his bedroom too. He was making a point. That’s it. So… it just shows you the power imbalance in this trio relationship. He will always hold that power over both women and can use it whenever he wants. If things aren’t going well with Biwi 1, there’s Biwi 2. And vice versa. So of course, it’s unsettling and uncomfortable to see.

One word would just be “icky” I guess lol. Its why this polygamy plot should never have happened because now the audience has to deal with these weird situations 🤢

It's a religious requirement as well as societal since he has wedded both women.

This scene has been best explained by Anu 2 or 3 pages back. See if you can get her point.

If we look for revenge or which woman wins and why....the story won't make any sense..

Love doesn't need Mubashira to prove herself. Just love is enough for Zaid to accept her.

Yeh Zanjabeel bhi kya story likhi hai.

Yeh Wahaj bhi script kyu nahi dekhta....it's all emphasis on the noun..

Second usage is implying both...

I feel Ayeza didn't read the script while signing this. Wahaj bhi...

Ofcourse I understand that bhi can be used in many contexts especially when used kn in poetry or songs. Tum bhi na. Kya kya karte ho.

But I said what I said about tum bhi mile bas naam ke bcz he has two wives. One was past flame who rejected him and one is Ayra. Married Ayra but she also does not really give him importance. So it's like MJ se toh karli naam ki shadi tum b naam ki hi biwi.

I know it's just picturised on Zaid & Ayra but in whole show kaunsa kuch inki story ka bataya hai..

Though she needs to win his trust that she will stay with him and never leave him. He's bothered only about that.

He wanted only naam ki biwi after his hamesha love na. 🤭😂

Na Ayeza is justified in signing this. So is Shahzad Nawaz and Azeekah. They have proper screen time and their characters are given some attention at least in the script. Zaid is just kind of … there. He may be as relevant as Kashmala now in terms of screen time and attention lol. And this has been going on for a lot of episodes - about half the show i would say.

Ayeza has a lot of scope to perform in this role. I didn’t like her acting in the first half of the drama because the shouting and yelling was just too OTT for my taste but ever since MJ has mellowed down I’m able to appreciate the nuances in Ayeza’s acting a lot more. I think that breakfast table sequence when she finds out Zaid and Ayra are going to work together has to be one of my favorite acting moments for her. But now, for the last few weeks her screen time has been reduced again lol. She’ll be back soon enough though.

Yep. This is exactly the vibe I get from it too. Especially those who have listened to it from episode 1 and tried to make sense of it from Zaid’s pov, Ayra definitely fits the bill in the ost too 👍 He’s been after that girl like crazy and she’s turned him down so many times

So up till now I’ve been listening to the ost as MJ being in love with Zaid and Zaid being in love with Ayra. Makes sense too

He didn't have too much expectations from Ayra. It was ok she rejected him. It was ok she pressurised him into second marriage...it was ok she joined rival company...

You can say it's out of love. There's one more way to read this- his expectations from love is not the same with her.

He calls it love, but it's just a shadow of love though he's steadfast and loyal to it because of his character...and his determination that his mein will defeat the love he has for MJ. He did too...that love has stayed dormant for years...

I didn't mean any of those things. Merely examples ya.

This debate about polygamy. I think nobody likes polygamy naturally. Also this misconception that it's acceptable in Muslim culture is so..

There's difference between religion and culture. Yes, religiously it is permitted to have 4 wives. But there are conditions. You have to do justice. Example: If you bring an apple for one wife you have to bring same apple for another one. Obviously who you love more is not in your hands but justice you have to. Hence it is damn difficult to actually achieve that. Religiously he is obligated to sleep with both.

But obviously we have personal preferences and personal ethics/morals where we have imitations. We can't accept certain things despite them being approved. But if someone has no problem with it bcz it is religiously permitted then can't really comment.

Despite 2nd marriage being permitted in the religion, people really look down on that person if he has 2 wives. So bcz culturally few things don't look good, people look down.. Same goes for divorce, marrying a divorcee or widow/widower.

Just giving you my pov on that scene coz you asked for it. I can’t see it any other way 🤷‍♀️ the first reaction is always the most accurate one anyway and for me that scene was problematic
