I am not really bothered about the BO of this movie.....more about the WOM and people's reviews.....but if it makes money also....nothing like it......looks like the positive WOM is finally coming in play.....but don't keep ur hopes high for BO collection....anything can happen...

Edited to add - I just noticed the tweet dates back to November. Most likely to be true. Or at least very close to the actual figure.

Himesh is reliable most of the time.....although I have to hear from Taran to be fully convinced......but Hirani movies don't have huge sets.....The only big star is SRK and he doesn't charge....only profit sharing....most of the movie has been shot in India.....so I am guessing around 100 cr...

SRK doesn't charge any fees, only profit sharing.

RCE messed things up. negative PR tends to happen for SRK movies in clashes. The other film, a mega-budget event movie, wouldn't have survived in Hindi if released solo. However, it benefited from the clash with BMS running their ads and paid trends on Twitter (I'm not making this claim, it's official trend ). Then articles compared its advance to SRK's opening day, creating a narrative. Also how Theatres replaced Dunki with Salaar (obviously they have to share screens in a clash). Bots are flooding BMS and IMDb with zero ratings, and other popular fan clubs are part of this negative campaign. They won't even watch the other movie. Critics' reviews aren't impressive either. They successfully created an impression that Dunki isn't a good movie on Day 1.

They even live telecasted Dunki from the theatre, watched by 1.5 lakh people.

Also Dunki isn't targeted at masses so these things affect the movie unlike masala action movies.
