Zoya is female Karan Johar

After seeing the Archies, all my earlier admiration of her has dissolved into thin air.

It was clearly just a platform to launch 3 nepo babies.

The product was as mediocre as it gets.

This, from the director of GullyBoy and ZNMD, is a sheer letdown.

What's with these directors? do they really think the audience are idiots?

Zoya said films that don’t deserve to be made gets sequels. Who is she to make such pronouncements ?

I don’t know why people keep bringing up znmd as an example. I’m sorry the movie was also average at best with corny dialogues. It’s not an example of path breaking direction and screenplay

GullyBoy is her best work. The acting elevated the script, tbh.

Minty it’s safe to say Zoya is fraud. Fraud director, fraud writer, fraud social activist. I’m not even sure if she’s just Farhan in a wig

Honestly, I've never been a huge fan of her work. ZNMD is certainly better than The Archies but I didn't love it. It's no Dil Chatha Hai.

Dil Dhadakne Do had a good cast and songs but that's it.

Gully Boy was overrated and only successful because Ranveer carried that film and it was a nice break from his usual OTT roles.

She got lucky with znmd. Hrithik Farhan and Abhay chemistry was amazing!!! And that is why the movie worked. Katrina acted a lot better than her other movies. The messsage of the movie was very good which it will always be my top movies to watch. All actors in that movie were top notch and professionals. They all been in the industry over a decade. But with Archie’s cast all of them were newbies. It was her responsibility to guide them.

I haven’t seen Karan johar work since kank. But I believe he is much better than Zoya. You can tell he is very passionate about cinema. But he really needs to get over with nepo babies.

Looking at the response to The Archies, I agree that Zoya failed in whatever had been her intentions.

bold: I agree to that. As the focus would have been on the star-kids and them now getting the most flack, there, at least, the guiding part seemed to have been unsuccessful.
